Asked a question on an old thread, but title probably not specific enough to get read, so here goes again:
Anybody attempted to use the Seaworld weekday tickets that are specified as USA only? How do they check (if they do)? Seems a bit harsh to pay 33% more just because we're johnny foreigners :).
We're only doing 1 day at Seaworld so doesn't seem to be any options apart from $80 ticket (+tax). We're not planning any of the other parks they do combined tickets with (apart from Universal itself, but FlexTicket still works out more).
Anybody know of any other way to get Seaworld discount? I'd prefer to buy in advance as that still saves you $15pp on gate price, unless there are any "in Orlando" ways of saving (local vouchers?).

if you can get print@home tickets, then you might try.
But that's if you can get to the checkout process, and IIRC someone has tried and was stopped as the CC was rejected as non US.

If you get will call or pickup at desk, then they will ask for ID, and they'll probably notice that you have a foreign passport.

How do they ckeck ? Well, it's random. They will check if the barcode on your print@home ticket does not scan, or if you give them reason for a check, or simply because you ran out of luck and hit a random check.

If you can get those tickets, always bear in mind that there is a slight possibility that you could be denied entry, tickets confiscated, and possibly be forbidden to enter the park even with full price ticket.

now, it's your call.

I think you're saying it's not worth risking :scratchin

I've facebooked Seaworld asking why someone from Nottingham has to pay 33% more than someone from Toronto. I know they're a business and they can do what they like; doesn't mean I can't whinge about it :).

Anyone tried this: Annual pass members currently save 50% on guest day tickets, plus free parking, plus 10% off food and merch. If this works, one annual pass would save quite a bit more than the difference between one day ticket and the annual pass. Anyone tried that one? Do you know if you need to activate the annual pass somehow before getting the day tickets? I've asked this in the Seaworld forum as well - just curious if any UK members have done it this way?

Gate price is $95+tax. If you buy in advance you get $80+tax. Not sure what you mean by your question?

I redid my calculations on the annual pass method - it only saves you about $40 (plus how much the 10% food+merch discount saves you), so maybe not worth the hassle.

I did answer one of my own questions - at Universal, you don't get free parking on day 1 of an annual pass as it needs to be activated. Seaworld website says that if you buy AP in advance for them, you get free parking day 1. What we don't know is if you can order the 50% off tickets in advance of using the AP for the first time. If you can, there's no real hassle and you may as well do it this way. If you can't, you'd need to visit the park once with AP, then get the discount tickets. Not sure how it works.
