Is there any place where one can sit down (not on the ground) and get a good/adequate view of Tiana's Showboat Jubilee? I'm pretty sure my mom would love it, but she has trouble sitting on the ground or standing for too long--even though the show's pretty short, I'm not sure it would be a good idea for her.

She can lean/sit on the stone "railing". That's where we sat, we walked down to the area where F! seating is and just leaned/sat up on the wall there.

We sat over at Riverbelle Terrace and had a decent view - not front row center, but a decent side view.

She can definitely sit on the walls around ROA. If you can grab a seat next to the anchor, that would be a good location.

Saw it again last night. 4:15 show. My Nephew played a different role than he did last week. We arrived at the Mark Twain landing about 2 min. before they announced the show. We stood just to the left of the landing, right by the railing at the water's edge so we could see him close up as he (and the parade) went by. Talk about up close and personal.:goodvibes He was a bead giver outer this time so we call got some. :goodvibesThen as the boat left the dock we followed it to the stopping point and I was able to get very close to the railing to take more pictures. And see the performers faces.

I love the music and energy of this show. Last night was very busy but I was still able to get very close to the action. You and your mom shouldn't have to sit too long. I would try to get there for the first show, it's definitely less crowded.

Have fun!

Thank you so much for the tips, everyone! Depending on my mom's schedule we might try to see it Thursday instead of Friday (I'm not sure if she'll get in early enough; we wouldn't make the first show of the day that way, but I figure it will be a bit less busy then).

Of course, this is all assuming it doesn't get canceled for rain :( but I'm going to figure that we should have enough time to see it sometime. :)

While I didn't see it from this view, so I'm not 100% sure how good it is, my friend was eating at one of the tables right by the railing of the French Market restaurant during the show, and she said she had a great view.
