What are you all doing for your seating cards? How will you be displaying them? Or what are you doing instead? Post pics! :)

I found this on Martha's website:

I always love what Martha (or her assistants) do!

I will probably be using playing cards as my seating cards. I'll write the name of the guest, and table number on each card, and then I may pin them to a bulletin board to put near the entrance.

OK I do love a lot of what Martha does but I find that picture just a little "busy" LOL

We actually put everyone's names in little silver seashel holders and then they were laid out on a separate table in the resepective rows/columns for each table.

This was our own little Sweetheart Table row/column LOL

I bought the fairy tale wire place card holders. I had 4 tables - Cinderella, Snow White, Belle & Sleeping Beauty.

I'm doing baby envelopes (http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/35050225.html?cm_id=2530.040.010) that will be at each guests seat. I have a template that I used to cut them all out. Inside the envelope will be a note letting the guest know that we have made a donation to the American Cancer Society instead of a favor. I haven't decided, however, if I will be doing a seating chart at the entrance to the room or just let people wander a bit. It's a small wedding less than 80 people so I'm leaning towards just letting people find their seats.

We had Disney floral make up our place cards. I think they were about $3 each or so.

We ordered our placecards from a great site (PSA essentials, but you now don't buy from them directly, but through other online stores), then had a friend of the family that does calligraphy as a side job calligraphy the names onto them for us. I'll have to see if I can hunt down a picture.

i bought small silver frames in bulk & then printed out our seating cards & placed them inside. each card had the persons name, a picture to correspond with the table & the table name on the bottom. here's a pic:

Yay for open seating!
We saved about $500 on place cards (we have 110 guests) by having open seating.
I think everyone should be dancing so who needs assigned seating.
