Can someone describe the seating on space mountain?

It would be DS8 first time and I know he'll want to be able to grab onto me (or me onto him).

Thank you.

Hi,

There are three people per "space capsule" seated one behind the other behind the other.

Just tell him to hold on tight to the lap bar!

Unfortunately seating is three single seats, front to back, per car, two cars per train. It is not side by side, and to make contact with the person in front of you would require leaning forward or having long arms.

Not really possible. You sit one to a seat, one in front of the other. It would be difficult if not impossible to touch the person in front of or behind you.

I put my 5 year old in front of me so I could keep an eye on her but to no avail...the ride took off and I couldn't reach her or talk to her. But....she looooved it! And she is not the daredevil type. Your child will be fine. Just don't act nervous...be reassuring that it will be a fun ride.

I just hope they don't ever change it to the DL style, like a front seat in a car pulled right up as far as it'll go where anyone with long legs would have to be a contortionist to sit in. I went to DL in 05, and couldn't get my legs in, and that's one of my fave rides!

My son was in front of me (in the same car) and I leaned forward and kept one hand on his head for the whole ride! My arm ached afterwards but it was just something I needed to do (he was only 5 at the time).

The DL version of SM is two riders to seat (side by side). This was preferable (over MK version) for me & my 7 y/o.

I'm 6' tall & didn't find the SM seat hard to get into at all (on either version).
