We having dining packages for ROL and Fantasmic. Not sure I understand how that will work as far as timing goes. I've heard we'll still want to be there 30 minutes or so in advance? When do they let people into the seating?

Do all of us have to be there? Or could DH get to the entrance with DS1 30 minutes (or whatever is recommended) while I take DD6 to ride a last ride and then join up with them before the show starts?

What happens with strollers for ROL and Fantasmic?

Easiest answer first - strollers are left outside like any other ride or show

It's been quite a long time since I did a show dining package (my first after a lengthy break is for ROL in the beginning of June

So, I am a little rusty - I do not recall if you are given a paper ticket for 4 or 4 paper tickets for a party of 4

I almost always err on the side of following the rules

If it is one piece of paper for your family - simplest scenario, you all have to enter at the same time, when you do is your decision

If 'seat in the chair' is given their own ticket to the show after dining, the rules and adherence becomes a little more interpretive and starts encroaching on your comfort zone

I follow the rules, and admittedly am annoyed by others who do not when they are clearly stated - so, if the paper says show up together - we're there together - if the paper says show up 30 minutes before showtime - it's my decision if I push the time boundaries a little - as a GROUP - however, if I am there with my group as stated 30 minutes ahead of show time - and there is half of a group, holding twice their width in a prime location - that group is playing with the patience of the Disney staff (who are taught the mantra 'please move all the way to the end of the row') and the Disney customers - yes, there are circumstances, but in general we would all like to get in one last ride before the show - please don't save seats for this reason, make the choice to separate from the rest of your group for one last drop at Tower and choose to enter later (if possible) and pick a place to meet after the show

Again - sorry, I'm a Libra - I'm all about fair and rules to me - others may be more flexible - I'm sure there are many opinions

-Fantasmic you can enter the arena about 60 min ahead of time. RoL you can enter the arena about 2 hours ahead of time. EIther option, I recommend getting there 45 min or more ahead of showtime.

-Not all of your party have to be there, but it would be better. You'll likely have people asking if they can sit there and you'll have to say those seats are taken. But a party of 4 would be no problem..it would be different if it was one person holding seats for a party of 10

-Strollers don't enter the arena. You'll put it off to the side with stroller parking or CM's will take it over for you

Thanks for your input. I'm a Libra too and feel the same! That's why I'm asking the question-so I know what my options are. Since we plan to use rider switch, thinking about using a rider switch pass for either RRC or TOT just before Fantasmic or Everest just before ROL. Since DH has to wait somewhere with the 1 year old, just wondering if it would be ok for them to head into the shows.

Where are the stroller parking areas for these shows? Worried about finding ours in the dark and getting out of there...

I would say if it's rider swap - you wouldn't be far behind, right?

That's way different than getting a last ride in standby somewhere!

Sorry, i'm way past the stroller years!!

I can still remember my frustration with the constant CM practice of them moving strollers - ugh

Perhaps hang an led flashlight on your stroller?

That's what I was thinking. Hopefully our plans get all of or "must do's" in earlier. Thinking these would be a bonus for my daughter. Those are all rides that might be too intense for her, but if she does them earlier and loves them or decides to test her bravery at the end of the night that could be a good option for us.
