Ok so our last trip to Disney was with me, dh, our 3 kids ages 7,5, and 18mos at the time, and my mother and father inlaw. Only one time in our reservations did they say we might be seated at different tables and that was for Donald's breakfast, luckily this didn't happen. Well this time around it is only me and hubby and our 4 kids, ages 11, 8, 4, and 2. 6 out of 8 reservations stated we may be seated at different tables. How likely is this to happen? I mean seriously I would NOT want to be separated from anyone. That would ruin the experience. I booked 180 days out too, so what do I do? Has anyone dealt with this?

It's a pretty standard message sent out. I wouldn't worry about it. I've seen it when booking for a party of 1 ;). (And 2 and 3... etc). The likelihood of them splitting up 2 parents and 4 kids is very low, but they have to have that message there "just in case".

The message has been on every single ADR I've made, which are mostly for only 3 people. I don't think there's any intelligence in the message; I think it's just standard.

I was in a group of 10 and we were split up at Leceil into two tables. We were only a table away, but could def. not talk to them w/o talking over the poor people between us. My only gripe is that we were part of a "Grand Gathering". It is not very "Grand" when you can't talk w/everyone. My suggestion is that if you have a large group and want to eat together, you pick a larger restaurant than we did. Not very smart on our part, but we live and learn.:goodvibes

At least you were notified that it might happen. What upset us was we were split up and not told beforehand. There were 8 of us and we saw other parties of 8 sitting at the same (large) table. Even when we checked in, nothing was said. However, when we were finally called and brought to our tables, that's when we found we were separated. True, we had tables near each other, but we weren't happy that we hadn't been told.
