Hi all, just to let you know in case you don't already, the restrictions on reserving seats after Nov 1st has now been lifted. I have just been on and pre booked our Nov 5th flights and the return. :)

Cath

Yes i got a text from virgin yesterday saying we could book seats

Not really sure, give it a go! Should be able to as the restrictions were there because they were making changes to the planes I think.

Cath :)

I can't book mine yet , we go in December, it says we can't book ours until October.:worried:

:) Yep - i got the txt and email yesterday and i reserved staright away with no problems for our return journey 7th Nov :)

You can book up to 90 days out at the moment unless you are flying in PE from LGW/MAN/GLA.

See here: http://virginatlantic.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/74

I would assume from this that the last 747 G-VTOP which is not being refitted is leaving the fleet from early January and after that all flights will be on refurbished planes.

I have my fingers cross for VTOP for our December flights for one last trip in the old bubble :rolleyes1

Will the reserving of seats ever become available for PE?

We fly at the end of next march and would like to reserve seats if possible :)

Great, thanks :)
Is this because the plane refurbishments will be all done?

Just came home today in the bubble of Hot Lips
PE was super and I managed about 4 hours sleep which is rare for me.
Loads of room in PE but overhead storage is very small. There is a wardrobe at the rear of the economy section to store larger cabin baggage

Probably a daft question Nigel but was it one of the refurb 747??

Do you no what the PE section downstairs was like?? We've booked PE but with requesting a skycot I'm assuming they'd seat us downstairs:confused:

Can't wait for your TR:thumbsup2

just went to check my seats were still there as I was able to pre-book them ages ago before they put the recent stop on it. Well happy as they have changed the plane to a new refurbed one:cool1: The way back is still showing the old heap of a plane but who knows that could still change. I hadn't been able to change seats for the last few days and thats the reason why, they were changing aircraft...RESULT:banana:

I'm pretty sure I read that PE seats could be reserved from 8th October, so you might want to check the 90 days out thing for your March res.

I would say yes as they are due to be completed by the end of the year.

Prior to the refits there was one cot position upstairs and more downstairs. I don't see why that would change :)
