Seasonal Passes

I figure seasonal is a perfect fit for me and my bf but wanted some opinions. I thought about going for the annual passes but then when I really thought about it I figured the days that are blocked out are really the days I don't want to be there.....crowds! (I know seasonal doesn't offer the free parking but I'm not so concerned about that) I guess my question is does anyone with the seasonal passes feel like they're really missing out on anything (as far as block-out dates)?

I've had both seasonal and regular annual passes. Because I rarely stay on-property, I do have to take into account the parking fees (or take convoluted steps to avoid them, which takes up lots of time). Plus, I like being able to go whenever I want -- sometimes others wanted to go, but I couldn't because I was in the blockout period. Other times, despite any drawbacks, I was just ready to go, but couldn't for the same reason.

I'll stick to Annual Passes. YMMV.

I have done both. I prefer the annual passes but if all i could afford was the seasonal passes (which may be the sitch next year), i would do that in a heartbeat. Don't feel like you are missing out on anything. Any WDW pass beats no WDW pass!;)

My feelings exactly. My bf will never want to go out to the parks when the crowds are super heavy (and I doubt neither will I) so I figured the only thing I'm not getting is the free parking. Money is a bit of a factor so I think I could deal with the inconvience of transportation to save money by getting the seasonal pass. My main concern is missing something going on in the parks that I'd miss out on during the block-out dates.

I have the Disney seasonal as well as annual passes to the other parks(Universal and the Busch parks).I feel the same as you as the blackout dates are so crowded or busy I don't mind as much and when I'm blacked out to the Disney parks I'll hit the other parks as well as waterparks in the summer. When it's 90+ that's what I enjoy doing most. The parking fees are definitely an issue and if it were only me I would get the regular AP or the premium with the waterparks but several passes adds up.

We have the Seasonal Annual Passes. Works for us because we don't go during the busy/black out dates.

If they are having a special passholder event in a park they lift the blackout for seasonal passes- for example the Monster's Inc preview was during blackout dates for seasonal passes- they allowed seasonal passes into the MK that weekend, they may have let them into all the parks for the weekend but we only tried MK so I don't remember.

That;s great news. My fear was that I would miss out on something like that but I'm happy to know they'll lift the block-out dates for attraction previews. Thanks! This helped make up my mind....seasonal passes it is. Thanks for all the help!
