Seasonal Flowers

I did a search for seasonal flowers online and am wondering, if it really makes a difference in the cost of y9our floral?? The search I did came up with some really strange flowers for January. DD's colors are yellow and blue so she was really wanting to use blue hydrenga's (sp) and yellow roses something like this

Does the season really reflect in the cost of your flowers??

I think it depends on the type of flower. I think roses are pretty much the same price all year except for Valentine's day when the demand is so high. I'm pretty sure hydrangea's are fairly inexpensive. But, if you wanted a particular type of orchid that's when it really matters. Perhaps, ask your florist. Or maybe someone more knowledgable than I will come by.

I am getting married February 2nd and my flowers are hydrangeas and roses. They are both in season in Florida during January so you should be ok. If flowers aren't in season you may have a problem getting them and if you can get them they are double the cost as when they are in season.

I was told my dahlias weren't in season for February and that it could cost an arm and a leg to get them. However my bouquet ended up being about the same price as any of the other bouquets I've seen on these boards.

If you have your heart set on a certain flower, it never hurts to ask!

I mentioned seasonality to my floral planner and she had suggestions of other flowers that have the same look but may be less pricey. She is checking on the cost of both for me though.
