I apologize if this has been answered already, but I could not find it through a search.

It is my understanding that the time starts ticking on annual passes the date it is first used, not the date it is purchased. Is this correct? We will be going to Universal in April 2018. If I buy a Season Pass in 2017, can it first be used in 2018?

That's correct.

Thank you! So, just to make sure I understand, it is correct that I can buy a Season Pass in 2017 but not use it until 2018 AND it will be good for 1 year from the date first used in 2018?

Yes, that is correct. Of course, things are always subject to change but I don't see that happening.

Would that also apply to upgrading a ticket? We have a 2+2 day ticket we plan to upgrade - does my year start on the first day I use my ticket or on the day I upgrade?

I believe it expires 366 days after the first use of your 2+2 ticket. That's what I was told when I upgraded my 2+2 a couple weeks ago.

That's correct, first use of ticket. I have no experience using tickets so I can't give advice as to how that works.
