search function???

Hello: Is there a reason why the search function has be disabled on this board?? Thanks

The "Search" feature is always available- except when board usage is too high. At that time it automatically disables itself.

Usually, during the week from 7:00am until 10:00pm you usually won't find search working (even then- there are times when it does work). It is best available between 10:00pm and 7:00am- and at times over the weekends.

Last Thursday and Friday- we had very low usage on the boards and search was available most all day. It is not based on any individual board, but is based on the number of posters online and accessing threads at any given moment.

The alternative would be to have no limit on search, but then it might take 5-10 minutes to post or read a thread.

Thanks for the clarification, Doc.

I'm a new DVC owner who has been trying (in vain) to use the Search function to get all the information I can from these boards. It's been frustrating when it is not working.....but now I understand why. It's too bad that it gets "disabled", because I'm sure people get tired of seeing/posting/answering the same questions over and over.
