search for theme park incidents

very interesting..
it's amazing the number of older guests who ride attractions that they probably shouldn't (and then 'feel ill' or even "pass away" afterwards)..

they report everything...even the most trivial....i noticed an adult came off dumbo feeling ill...that must be embarrassing....

thanks for posting....

Interesting link.

However, when you think of how many people visit the parks every day, never mind every year, the amount of accidents do seem quite minimal.

Also, as already stated, how many people ignore all the warnings???

There's a jolly little site called rideaccidents.com that my old boss who is a rollercoaster fanatic once showed me......

Disney and Universal accidents generally seem to be at the fault of the rider for doing things they shouldn't or having pre-exisiting medical conditions, but I didn't know that Disneyland's BTMRR had crashed so many times!

I felt ill after the Tea-Cups ride in Old Town :rotfl: My son of 3 loved it. I later was talking to God on the big white phone, it was not funny.

Thanks for the link, Wayne.

I am very surprised by how few incidents there are! Especially since some seem so minor. I assume that not every incident has been reported to that database -- there would surely be many more if so.

I have not had a good look yet, Is it only on this database if they have to get outside medical care? Might be if its done inhouse its not covered on here:confused3

I'm pretty sure most accidents happen because people are in "holiday mode" and tend to switch off when they are away. I've fallen off the curb side many times at Magic Kingdom because I've been looking at something interesting, or studying the map! :upsidedow

When you think of how many people visit the parks the safety record is pretty good.

Why would a terminally ill person ride space mountain and not expect to be ill after? From what it says here they actually died.

Its a shame some people dont use common sense.

Sorry but I will be one of the people that won't use common sense.
If I am ever terminally ill but feel well enough to go on rides I will. I can think of no better way to go.:)

Could not agree with you more Wayne! :)

some of the terminally ill guests are make a wish visitors (and it even states that in the reports)...
i can definitely understand them riding all the rides....that is after all why they went to WDW.....to live their dream before they die...
