I plan on going to Sea world at the end of this month...what are the good restaurants to eat at?

We usually eat a Calypso Bay Smokehouse or Shipwreck Reef Cafe. We do the refillable popcorn tub for snacks as well ($5 tub, $2 refills).

If you're spending the whole day getting the all you can eat really pays for itself.
We spent yesterday at SW, DS14 and myself. Having the wristband seems to make me worry less about how much I'm spending.
We ate twice and had an extra drink twice so we were ahead on the $30 it costs.
We both like the turkey on a bun at the Hospitality place, and we ate at Shiprock. Both are favorites over the last few years.

When you enter the park there is a kiosk set up almost dead center just a few steps through the gate for the all day dining.

It can be a good deal if you eat and snack a lot while in the park. Be sure to check the hours of the restaurants because our first time using the wristband we found our the hard way that all except one sit down place closed at 6pm. Very odd to close the few sit down places they have just at dinner, when the park was open for 3+ hours. May not happen in summer of course, but check! Had we known ahead of time we would have eaten at the other sit downs for lunch/snack instead we ended up eating lunch at the only sit down that stayed open late. We complained and were compensated for it, and they promised that the hours of each participating restaurant would be listed on the park map (which they said it used to be). Hopefully that's taken effect...we haven't been back since December.

We just got back from our first Disneyland first visit to SoCal & San Diego and we ended up getting some last minute day of Dining with Shamu all you can eat buffet. you dine watching one of the killer-whales and the trainers playing around in the pool next to your table...my DH and DS absolutely loved it! They are pretty picky eaters and enjoyed the selections!
what a blessing it was for us because we had just walked up to the reservation counter a few hours earlier and got in for the 430pm slot!

I recommend you make reservations just in case you are not able to get same day. Also it's $39 pp.

I've never been to Sea World. I was just assuming we would do what we are planning to do in Disney and Universal- get there when it opens, leave at about 3 or 4 for "Linner" (the boys love that phrase) and go to a regular restaurant nearby, then go back later in the day.

Of course, I don't know if you can leave and re-park, or if there is anything close by, but I still have a few days to plan this thing! :rotfl:

Yes you can leave and reenter....for parking just keep your stub, for the park get your hand stamped.

If you're looking for fast food nearby, there are quite a few on Sports Arena Blvd....In n Out Burgers, Jack in Box, Chik-fil-a, Five Brothers, those are the names I can remember. Probably 2 or 3 miles from the park.

Lots of sit down places too, but can't remember any of the names, sorry!

The food inside Sea World is overpriced, what amusement park isn't, but it's actually better than Disneyland in my opinion. Prices are a little less but the portions and quality are better.

The food isn't so bad in the park. The turkey on a bun was fresh out of the oven and carved when ordered. The prices are somewhat high the turkey was $10 and you got a side of potatoe salad. DS had penne with marinara sauce, chicken & sausage on top with a breadstick, it was $12.49
The red velvet cake was yummy, most places have carrot, chocolate, creamcheese, strawberries & watermelon for desserts.
A couple of salad choices.

Servings a pretty big too.

For me I don't think it would be worth it to go back to my car, find my way out, find a place to eat and come back. Maybe if the driver went to get somethiong and bring it back to eat in the parking lot. Otherwise it's a hassle.
