We'll be at WDW in May and will also spend a day at Sea World. I haven't been to Sea World since I was a kid and remember nothing about it other than it was very hot. DD11 does not tolerate the heat very well, which is why we never spend more than a few hours each day at a park. We plan to go early in the day and see as much as we can before it get too hot. Are there any indoor attractions with air conditioning? Also, do they have something similar to the GAC? She will have her special needs stroller but still has trouble being in crowded lines. Anyone have any special tips or suggestions for touring the park? Thanks!

Yes SW has air conditioning!

Pet's Ahoy/Sesame show
A'llure
Peguin encounter (you can hang out in the back row (behind moving walkway)for as long as you like.
Artic Express after the movie, you can visit with the animals in AC as loong as you like and there is a short ice wall to help you "chill". :)

Crowded lines are not usually an issue unless you are doing the three Big rides. You can get a tag for "stroller as a wheelchair" for use in the shows.(Due to seating limitations, they usually ask for one person to stay with the disabled person and the rest of the family to move to another row to seat as many who need assistance as possible.)

Shamu the access area is in the middle of the stadium (under shade)
Seal Lion can be front row, or area accessed by ramp further up-may be in direct sun. (If you want to do this show go early on a cool day as this show is in the sun)

In the kids playground there is First Aid and the Baby Care center. You can use a curtained area in FA to cool down. There is also a FA near the Ray pool at the front of the park.

There are also splash fountains in a couple places in the park.

Sea World does have something similar to the GAC.

Just go to Guest Services. Most of the time, you don't have to explain the needs, just the disability. They will measure you there and put it on the form which rides the person can ride. And it's good for a longer period of time than the GAC.

They also keep you in the system so next you go back, they have you and may just re-measure.

im presuming this is not the case when im on my own ds is the wheelchair user but will have dd with me and she be 9 but is a very small 9 .Im hoping that hey would let her stay with us

Please note the "usually" in my statement. SW understands there are times when it is not possible to have the rest of the party move. They would not ask a child to sit by themselves.

What they want to avoid is Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle, Second cousin George, Aunt Matilda twice removed, the neighbor from down the street etc sitting with one person who needs assistance. In that case they will ask one person to stay with the person who needs assistance and ask the rest of the party to move to higher rows to free up seats for those who need assistance.

i figured might be the case but wanted to be sure ,but have come across it a few timesat theme parks in the uk where they say ds and me come through but insist that dd queues and at just coming 8 i dont think so and she is a very small 8

And be no aunts, uncles or grandmas coming with us anyway;)

What their policy is for the big rides? My daughter will be 14. And want to do the thrill rides. She is autistic. Do you know how many people can go with her with the pass? Usually its 4 of us, me her, little brother and her bestfriend cousin who sits with her on the actual ride but is only 12 and wouldnt be able to handle her if there was an issue

4 of you should be fine.

Last summer, we took my autistic son on the Atlantis ride and it was me, my sister and grandpa.

It was one of the easiet passes to get.

They'll measure her and the ride will be on the pass that she can ride it.
