sea world when it rains ?

Hello, just wondering if anyone has been to sea world when it rains. We are planning to go next Sun/mon for my daughter's b-day but the forescast says 60% chance of rain on sunday. Do they close attractions or cancel shows during the rain? Just want to make sure it'll be worth it to go, otherwise maybe we'll just head to DL

I can't speak to Sea World California but we have been to Sea World Orlando in the rain (twice). I think it all depends. If there is no lightening I think all rides remained open when we were there. I can't remember about the shows. Some are indoors so you'd be safe on those. One of the times we were there in the rain it was a torrential downpour for hours so even though there was no lightening they had to shut down several things due to heavy rain. If the forecast simply says rain you may still be able to enjoy a lot of the park. If thunderstorms are predicted I'd probably do something else that day.

All that being said, the day we were there with light rain was one of our best trips to Sea World! We just put on our ponchos and enjoyed the lighter crowds and cooler temps!

They don't usually cancel, but they do modify some shows if it rains. For example, we caught Cirque de La Mer (sp?) in the rain, and it wasn't very interesting b/c of the modifications, but Shamu Rocks! was fine. I haven't seen Blue Horizons in the rain, but could imagine that it may have modifications as well. I haven't noticed any attraction closures due to rain.

Thanks for the responses I'm hoping it won't be raining heavily as it only says 60% chance. And since we'll be there mon. as well and it's not supposed to rain if anything gets cancelled we can always try again then. So I think we'll give it a shot and enjoy the lighter crowds !
