Hi all

Looking ahead (early) for trip for 7yo dd and I next March during her Spring Break. She really wants to go to Sea World and someplace warm enough to swim. We live closer to San Diego but it seems like there is more to do in Orlando - including Aquatica.

A few questions:

1. How many days should we plan for this? 2 days at SW and 1 for Aq? or is 1 day per park enough?
2. Will it be warm enough in mid-March to swim? (I know you can't predict - but generally?)
3. Is Universal worth it for a 7 yo girl? Currently I don't think we are interested but don't really know a whole lot about it.

We went to DisneyLand last year for Spring Break and had a great time. It will be hard to stay away from WDW but I want to make this a SW trip.

Thanks!

March tends to be less crowded than other months. And most are on spring break in April, so you shouldnt have to worry about alot of people unless your going on a Saturday. Seaworld hosts "Viva La Musica" every Saturday in March. Its a Latin music festival and it tends to bring in very large crowds on a Saturday. Though the cool thing is you get a "Shamu Rocks" night show on Saturday nights in March which is something you dont get every day. Its a seasonal show so you only get it certain times of the year. So for Seaworld, if you get there at park opening and stay until park closing on any day but Saturday, you can do it all. If you choose to go Saturday so you can get the Shamu Rocks show (Which in my opinion is the best show in the park) then maybe split your two days in half and do half the park one day and the other half the 2nd day. Aquatica you can do it all in one day if you go from opening until close. Florida weather is unpredictable. I remember this past March there were a few days in the 50s and then some days in the upper 80s. Chances are it will be warmer though.

We'll be down to Orlando over our March spring break too. Usually March is just fine for swimming, and is fantastic for visiting theme parks. Pools and water parks are heated. You can see highlights (main things in Sea World) in one day. If you can go for three days though, I'd do a Sea World day followed by and Aquatica day, and then hit what you didn't see in Sea World the first day and favorites again. That would be a wonderful mini trip. You may want to post on the Universal forum about whether the park is worth it for a seven year old and get some opinions there. I've seen mixed opinions on this. Universal / IOA would not have been a good park for my son at that age, but every child is different.

By the way Sea World is our family's favorite park and will be wonderful for both you and your seven year old.

Thanks for the info.

Maybe we will travel down on a Saturday (since that day is so busy).. I like the idea of 3 days - two at SW and one at Aquatica. :thumbsup2
