We did the dolphin spotlight tour last September and really enjoyed it. It poured down rain for part of the day, so I think the behind the scenes part at Blue Horizons wasn't quite what it usually is. Nonethless, it was informative and enjoyable. From there we went to dolphin cove. They broke us into small groups (which turned out to be our family of 3). We worked with a trainer and a couple of dolphins. We had ALOTof opportunity to touch, pet, and give commands to the dolphins. Because the trainer was with us, the dolphins stayed around alot more than they do during the public feeding. We had a great time, got some great photos and would do it again. One thing to be aware of...you may not get to feed the dolphins during the training session. They really do use it as a training session and the trainer did all of the feeding. Our little one was really disappointed that he couldn't feed the dolphins and was in tears...fortunately the SW folks were wonderful, they explained why he couldn't feed right then and arranged a primo spot for him during the next public feeding.
