We decided to not 'do' Disney this year. I'd like to get an idea of costs for doing Sea World and or Universal. DD's are 3 and 5 and I think they'd get a kick out of Sea World. They love to visit our local aquarium and I think Sea World will be a blast for them.

Can anyone give me suggestions on where to stay? We usually rent a house in Disney from a co-worker of mine. I'm curious to see the cost difference of staying at a hotel.

When we go to Universal Studios, we like to stay in one of their resorts. That way you get access to Front of the Line ride entrance at the parks.

Sea World is awesome for that age. If A AAA member you can get discounts tickets.

There is a ticket out there that is a combination of Sea World, Universal, Wet n Wild and Aquatica. I think it is called the Orlando Flex ticket. We bought ours last year at Kissimmee Guest Services.

Thanks for that info. I did a search and it's going to save me almost $150 off my trip.

ITA!!:thumbsup2

That little room key is worth its weight in gold! It's like having an unlimited fast pass without all the running around.:cloud9::woohoo:

They also have AAA rates. Depending on how long you're staying, it may be worth it to buy an AP. (The cheapest AP, 'Power Pass' does NOT grant hotel discounts.)
The hotel discounts are huge and ours have paid for themselves. To see AP hotel rates, do a regular search. Once you see the prices, click on "new search" then enter APH for promo code.

Sun-Thurs is cheaper than weekend rates.
Also you get FOTL for 2 days even if you only stay 1 nt, day of check in and day of check out.
We'll never visit US/IOA w/o a room key, ever.

We just went for a long weekend to SeaWorld and Aquatica. We booked a ticket room package online for the Renaissance. It turned out to be a pretty good deal. The Renaissance is great because you can walk right across the parking lot to the gate at SeaWorld, very nice.

We had a great time.
