Sea World Beluga Interaction - Not Available?

Does anybody know why the beluga interaction seems to be unavailable? The dolphin program has plenty of spare dates for the coming months (up until the end of September which seems to be the last date released), but the Beluga program isn't available at all currently.

Are they doing something with the Belugas that prevents them doing the program? I find it hard to believe it's fully booked right through until the end of September - especially when the dolphin program is so easy to book...

I was told that they weren't doing them right now but the employee didn't know why. Sorry I don't gave more info.

It might be too warm for the belugas to be in shallower waters or have people's body heat warming the water right now.

it's very strange - i occasionally look to see if they're available or not and often see one day available which is usually "today"/"tomorrow", but nothing else at all

The water is temperature regulated. They keep cold water circulating through the tank maintaining a constant temperature around 52 degrees, no matter how hot it is outside. It's like those little heaters you get for home aquariums, but in reverse, and on a larger scale.

My friend is a trainer at the Shamu show and I asked if she knew about the beluga interactions and she didn't know why they were sporadic either. Could be a staffing issue, an animal issue, who knows.
