We are planning a trip to Orlando in December 18 - 22. What could we expect to see at Sea World during that time? Will many of the shows be closed at that time?
We did a SeaWorld trip this past Christmas. Our dates were a little after yours (December 23 to 30).
KBF is the resident show expert for SeaWorld. She will probably weigh in with her summary of the holiday show schedules for the week prior to Christmas.
In the meantime, if you want to click on the link in my signature, you can see many pictures of the holiday decorations and seasonal attractions (including the Christmas market, the Polar Express, etc.) in my trip report.
Oh the holidays are the best and there are double the amount of shows to see. Definitely a good two three day trip. We went for new yrs eve weekend. We have annual passes and even skipped the regular shows since we can see them any day and still didn't catch all of them. You will really like it.

You will get to see all of Seaworld's Christmas show during that week. All the Christmas shows are at night and they are all different than the day shows. You will also get Christmas themed attractions like the Polar Express Experience. The Polar Express Experience is a motion simulator set to scenes from the popular movie. There will also be TONS of Christmas decorations. All Christmas shows, rides and attractions are included with park admission. There will be no shows that are closed during that time.
The Christmas Story from the animals point of view is great, only show I would recommend that you get there very early and wait in line so that you get a good front of stage seat. The other Christmas shows are very good but where you sit is not as important.

Very true. If we can't get up close seats for the show we sit in the back. Like last row so the kids can sit on their knees and not block anyone. Cause if its not close enough then we hear I can't see the whole time. I loved that show.
