I just purchase the sea world dinning pass in June.

At a participating restaurant, am I allowed get in line first to get my lunch/dinner and then when I'm done, I will get in a line to get maybe a bottle water to go only?

Thank you for answering.

Your only limit is how much you can get as you go through the line each time.

You can get in line and as much as you want, as long as it is all for you and you aren't sharing.

IMO it's all of the little things you want lots of (water, soda, watermelon, strawberries, etc) that makes the plan a real deal.

Not to hijack the thread, but...in your opinion, is the dining pass a good deal, even for children? I have never been to Sea World and am not familiar with the pricing of the food. TIA!

Thank you very much! It's good to know I don't have to carry couple bottles of water with us.

I am no sure. The day we will be there, the park opens from 9am to 10pm. We plan to have all 3 meals in the park. Adding in water and snacks, I figure it should worth it. I will try to update after my visit.

We just got back from Orlando. We were at SeaWorld on June 14 from 9am to 9pm. We bought the all day dining passes that morning as we entered the park (arrive 30 min prior to opening if you do this) and easily ate $30 worth of food and each (DH, DS 14 yo and 2 DD 11 yo). My kids loved getting whatever they wanted and just waving their wristband at the cashier. You stand in the regular cafeteria line (only once was this a real line) and select a entree, side or dessert and drink. Drinks can be fountain drinks in a cup with ice or bottled water. You can go back and do this as many times as you want. The cashiers always waved us on as soon as they saw our wristbands.
We went in for drinks, fruit and fries early in the morning, ate a huge lunch, stopped for another snack mid-afternoon and ate a late supper. We stopped in for drinks/water a few more times. The food is good, better than most them parks and varied. My husband enjoyed barbque. We had salads. They had watermelon that was great on a hot day. Also they had strawberries with a little cup of fudge to dip in. I was a little disappointed that we never found ice cream in the dining plan restaurants but my husband and kids had chocolate cake, pudding, cheesecake and a delicious cherry cobbler. The entrees were priced $6-$9, the fruit $3-$4 and the water about $2.50 so we easily ate $30 each. Other than the bottled water the food is not packaged for takeout, but no one watches the door to see that you eat it inside and we walked out with fries, drinks, and bowls of watermelon a few times.

Planning a trip in Jan 2012 and have some questions.

Are there restaurants all over the park that take the dining pass?

Can you get anything (and everything) at the restaurants, or is it like DDP
where you get one entree, one drink, one dessert?

Is it good for the kiosks/vendors or just the actual restaurants?

Many thanks!

belinda03, that was an awesome, helpful response. Thanks for sharing!! I agree completely. Also I think the dining plan is great for kids who might not like certain things. For instance, one of my dd's got mac and cheese which she usually likes but didn't care for it that day (it was "too cheesy :rotfl2:!") Fortunately she could just go thru and get something else, no charge! My other dd really wanted a brownie for dessert but when she got it she found it had nuts in it and wouldn't eat it. No problem, go get somthing else, no money wasted, no stress.

Regarding the question about food establishments, yes, it's only valid at certain places, not kiosks/vendors or quick snack stands. However, you are never far from a place that accepts it for a quick snack or drink if you don't mind a possible wait in line.

Enjoyed the meal deal -- it's worth the price especially for the unlimited fruit and bottled water. You can just go through the line and get dessert and drinks without picking up another entree. The pizza and pasta buffet is also included. I liked the meal deal food better at Sea World than at Universal Studios because the food was better quality. I had a steakburger, ribs, beef fajita, vegetarian chili, chocolate cake, cheese cake, strawberries & cream, watermelon. I liked that you could go back an unlimited amount of times and the cashier just waves you through. You can get 1 entree, 1 dessert, and 1 drink each time you go through the line.

Two questions, what is to stop someone from going through and getting food and sharing with other family members.

And 2nd, what if you get the wristbands for all the family, can one family member not go through and get meals for the whole family? Normally at the parks, DH goes through and gets the food, while me and the kids go find a spot, wash off the table, get napkins/straws, etc get hands washed etc and then DH shows up with the food.

Sharing food is "not allowed" unless the child is under 3 years old -- you'll see signs posted about that. Take out is not allowed but not enforced.

Everyone needs to go through the line and show their wrist band to get their food. Kid's meals are a different menu.

You can get additional information on the Sea World web page under "all day dining deal."

Thanks everyone for the answers on the dining plan. I think we will try to get this.

I'm understanding that I can get up to one entree, drink and dessert EACH time I go through the line. So technically I can get a mid-morning snack of fruit/water, a lunch, a mid-afternoon dessert/drink, another mid-afternoon snack of fruit/water, dinner and then if time, but doubt it since I'm going in January, an after-dinner dessert/fruit/drink.

This may make dining in SW a lot more fun! Normally, we wouldn't snack that much, but for a special occasion AND if it actually saves us money...woo hoo!!

We'll go 2 days to SW but only do the dining plan for one of them (the first day).

Marshay -- I liked the food at the Sharks restaurant -- I had their monthly special -- beef kabob (the server said that it's been a special for 11 months.)

I also ate there a 2nd time and was happy with the meal too. I like the relaxing atmosphere of watching the sharks from above (when you do the walk through you just see them from the bottom and you're rushed through.)

You can also sit at the bar and see the pretty live tropical fish.

The Sharks restaurant takes reservations.

Thanks for this info! It sounds like a great way to relax a bit (we love Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot, too).

And good for you for moving to Orlando!! I plan to retire there ... so in another 20+ years...:cool1:
