Sea Sickness Poll

I never get seasick but the first night this fall was close. We hit really rough seas and between eating down in Parrot Cay and a few sailaway drinks it did seem to effect me. I never got sick but I was ready to go back to my stateroom or the top deck for some fresh air.

Anyone every try ginger capsules?
I'd like to go with something a little more natural if it works.

On my first cruise (Celebrity's Horizon, New York to Bermuda), we hit a storm for 6 hours and I was very sick for about 5 hours. (There were 10-12 foot swells. I took mezaclanine, which made me drowsy enough to nap. My husband was fine, he actually enjoyed watching the water rush out of the swimming pool! I was very nervous about the storm, I felt as afraid as when you are having a bumpy flight! The only reason I would not cruise Bermuda again is because of the strong tendancy for ROUGH waters. I know many "good sailors" who were sick on Bermuda cruises.

On our Carnival Paradise Western Carribbean cruise, I think I only felt movement for about 30 seconds. Neither one of us ever felt seasick.

[My family went on the 4 day Wonder and We do tend to get car sick. The first night my 4 year old was just a little quesy and we gave him dramamine and he was fim=ne the rest of the cruise. One night we were on 8 foot waves and my husband got a little quesy. I on the other hadn who gets really car sick, put a patch behind my ear and never felt even the slighteset sick!!!!!!
