We have rented the Sea Raycers at both the Poly and the WL. It is a lot of full to ride around in them. Probably the most important thing to know is that they have a weight limit, which I'm not sure what it is, and if you put two adults in one, it goes very slow. When we rented the boats from the WL, we were told not to take it into the Seven Seas Lagoon, but to keep it in Bay Lake. So if you want to ride around the Seven Seas Lagoon, then rent from the Poly or GF. But Bay Lake is quieter. The CR, FW and WL all have boats for rent on Bay Lake.

We haven't rented from the Yacht Club, but I do know that you can't take the boat into the Epcot Lagoon. You have to keep it in Crescent Lake, but can go all the way to the HS end of the lake. Personally, I think it is more fun to rent from a resort near the MK. Either one is fine.

How long has it been the case that you can't take sea raycers rented from Wilderness Lodge to Seven Seas Lagoon? What a bummer! I have gone back and forth between Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon for years, although it's been a few years since I rented a sea raycer.

That was a few years ago when we were told that. So the policy might have changed by now. I have seen people take them out to the other lake.

We've rented sea raycers from the Poly and had a blast. You have to be at least 12 years old to drive and as the pp said, there are weight limits. I would definitely recommend renting one as they are a lot of fun :goodvibes.

We rented Sea Raycers from the Poly during our last visit (8/3/13) and were NOT told that we couldn't go over to Bay Lake.

The weight limit is 350 lbs and the age limit is 12 for taking a boat out alone. My older son (13 last year and 14 this year) had his own boat.

Thanks, after looking it up, I edited my post to reflect the correct age. They must have changed the age to drive and go alone because when we rented the boats, our youngest was 12 at the time and was not able to drive or to take a boat out on his own.

Rented at POR and could take all the way to Downtown Disney! You can also rent them at Downtown Disney I believe. It was a very fun experience! We want to try renting from Poly or WL next time to experience the lake. Apparently the ones on the lake have bigger engines and go faster than the ones on the river at POR>

We've rented boats from WLAN and poly numerous of time and yes if you put a adult and even a teenager together to boat is slow. Had fun when I rented from WL we went in both lakes so don't no how old or new change is. Have fun they are worth the money.

We rented them from the WL this past March and we were able to go back and forth between Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. It was tons of fun and is now on our must do list!!

Make sure you put lots of sunscreen on your face, arms and thighs. Basically any exposed area not covered by clothing or the vest. The sun reflects off the water and you can end up with major sunburn. Have a nice pic of my ex with sea raycer sunburn in an old photo album. ;)

We took out a Sea Raycer from the Poly. It was awesome to ride around the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. There was a 15% off coupon in the book Disney sent and they were generous with the timing. My my calculation we were out for 1 hour and 15 minutes but we were charged for 45 minutes - plus an additional 15% off. It was a lot of fun. I'd leave phones or other electronics in the room because we did get wet.

Have fun!
