Looking for a place to eat on our September/October trip that would have a good Sea Bass..Chilean or otherwise...

DW loves it and I would love for her to have it for our anniversary dinner...

Holla back!! :thumbsup2

Disney leans toward serving sustainable fish. Chilean Seabass currently is not sustainable and is listed on the high mercury content list as well. I haven't been to WDW since April so I cannot speak to what other species they may have on the menus.

According to the menus on Allears the Yatchsman has Blue Nose Sea Bass.

Blue Zoo always has the house specialty--Miso Glazed Chilean Sae Bass.
And one night they also had Sea bass as the "dancing fish" entree.

Hi Unc
Is Blue Zoo really as good as the menu sounds? I have eaten there yet. In fact I just looked at the menu......I admit I am not a fan of Todd English (a little too arrogant for my liking) but the menu does appeal to me.

usually serves Sablefish/black cod/butter fish which is similar. It's the most common substitute for Chilean Sea Bass given the concerns about overfishing. It's a very popular fish in Japan. I personally prefer it to Chilean Sea Bass.

We like Blue Zoo. In fact, I usually GET that Sea Bass when we dine there!! They also have a great double thick pork chop.
We're going there again in October.

Bluezoo really is as good as the menu sounds. Yes, Todd English's name is on the restaurant, however it's not like he's there frequently. The executive chef, Chef Chris, does a fantastic job. I dined there near the end of May and an assistant manager gave me a heads up that Todd would be there cooking in the first week of June. I thought, that's nice but I always have such an excellent meal when he's not there that it doesn't bother me that I'm missing him.

Now, I was impressed with last year's F&WF signature dinner that featured Todd. However, even Todd admitted that a lot of the credit was due to Chef Chris. I'm looking forward to returning to the bluezoo signature dinner this year as well.
