So did you just leave a black border around your paper? Did it look OK?

I was thinking about just wallpapering it to the size of the black page just making sure my mats/embellishments are clear of the edges, so when Sharon trims the pages won't have any black on the edges and nothing important will get cut.

I'm anxious to get started but I want to make sure I'm doing it right!

Yes, I left a black border around each side ... larger on top & bottom.
The embellies are clear of the edges for trimming.

I think the black border looks ok ... think of it as a mat!

We're doing 9 books, right?

I got 11 page sets, I thought we were doing 11 books?

I'm looking at my ticker and I have 24 days to get these AND the girls are only on summer vacation for 3 more weeks so the hectic days will be starting soon!!

Gotcha. Good thing I asked. I'm famous for doing extra work. I'm in the DCL swap and we were supposed to do a 12x12 layout. Well, I did a TWO page layout for each person because I didn't "get" the rules.

Bamb, I am not trimming a thing until the crop, then you can see what I have, and I can see what you are doing. And I thought we had to do ten. Ten entries are listed on the first page. If you are doing three pages, you should get three books.

no my name is listed 3 times but I am doing 1 set of pages and the tags for the inserts. The tags don't count as a book. And Sharon didn't put her name down so 1 spot goes to her.

Diana, I am OCD about making sure I didn't make a counting error so I always triple and quadruple check. LOL

From Sharon 4. I have been asked about elements. Since the pages aren't huge, I'd say go with whatever you feel looks best. Room for a small picture(s), some place to journal and an embellishment or two is about all that is going to fit. Wow us with your creativity!

Hi everybody,
Computer was giving me problems and wouldn't let me log in for a few days

Just to clarify;
-You each got a few extra pages in your packets in case there was a problem.
-Make 10 2-page layouts
-The pages are supposed to be 5 3/16" inches to go inside 6-inch covers according to the bind-it-all gurus. I can trim them all up at the end but please don't make the most important part of your lay-out go all the way to the edge.

Have fun...I am doing the covers this week-end at the CKC event crops in Valley Forge. I can't wait!!

I really hope I'm in the right ballpark here!

I had a hard time trying to incorporate everything I wanted to put on these little pages. Amy had suggested doing one longer thin photo mat on the right page because when you take a picture of people sitting at a table, it's usually long and thin--man, is she smart! I figure the umbrella bottom can be used for journaling too.
