SDV Orlando 2010, August 27 - 29

I think I'm going to need a seat at the end of a table this year to be able to fit . . . I helped my CMC with a project and as a thank you she gave me the new Daisy Wheeled Cart :yay: It's huge and fabulous and will be perfect to haul everything to SDV! I'm super excited!!

Love that!!! Nice bag. I've been wondering how I'm going to carry all of my stuff on the plane. :confused3 I think I will make a bunch of page kits and at least the tranport will be a little easier. :thumbsup2

I fly too. I kit everything, I also limit to a certain event, say Christmas or Disney so if I do have extra things I can use them on other pages. I carry my kits on because I would die if my pics were ever lost in the airport abyss.
I ship my sharp tools via Fed Ex (you will need an account number to ship back though). I've heard that even though they are in checked luggage things have been swiped in the name of security. But Lisa checked her stuff and it was fine so you can go that route too.

Since you are coming with Friends go through your big tools that you don't use often (hole punch, crop -a- dile, etc) and have one of each. Make sure you each have your own trimmers though.

Mom and I fly Southwest so we get 2 carry ons and 2 personal so I pack 1 bag with both clothes and one bag with scrap supplies. Then the personal item is the tote of the bag that Jen got. It holds a ton of stuff so I use that for over flow, fanny pack, and a book.

Here is what I took last year, I shipped the tote and carried on the bags.

I am so jealous!!!! I want that bag!!!!!

Ahem..... consultant, I help you all the time!! Where's my bag????? :sad1:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

You do have an awesome consultant . . . but mine is also "cleaning house" and I think it was as much to help her clean big stuff out of her house as it was a gift to me. She has her own Daisy Cart, too. I'm so glad it fits in my craft room! It <just fits> or else DH would be saying "uh, that's great, but where are you going to keep it?" because it's been in the hall for the last few days. He'd want to put it in the garage - the horror :scared:

Now I'll end up buying all the accessories that go with it - maybe that was my CMC's hidden agenda ;)

Definitely kit - Rebecca talked me through that for last year's SDV and it helped me a ton! I'm going to do it again this year, but plan to start earlier. Last year I was putting kitted projects together up until the day before and it was a little stressful.

I remember that tote bin - I couldn't believe how much you fit in there! That was a great way to go!

Oooh, I want that matching tote bag . . . and the Tools Caddy, and the Daisy Case . . . and maybe the Racking System . . . :rotfl:

I have the tool caddy too, I love it!!!

You are all such good packers, and I love all the daisy orgainzational stuff!!! Can't wait for Aug!!!

I think I'll take pics of the process of packing this year.

DH taught me how to pack the tote, he's an awesome packer!

I wonder if it would work as a carry on?

I think it's 17x17x20 and has a pull-out handle and two straps for lifting, so if that will fit the carry on dimensions, it probably would work.

Time to go and make dinner . . . I'm making Indian tonight so good thing I'm on the Prevacid

I figured that I would probably do that- when I go to crops I usually kit everything- I'm off that whole week, so I'll be able to get everything together.:thumbsup2 We are leaving to come down there on Wednesday evening. :woohoo:

So excited- my local scrapbook store is doing their twice yearly disney classes- it's a 5 week sries- 4 pages every class!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Oh, Nikki, you are going to have to post the layouts!!!!! Puuulease?!
