SDMT Soft Opening Lookout Post

Were they scanning MagicBands, did you notice? Or is it possible they were CMs? Or maybe they were using both queues to keep guests from spilling outside into the walkways? I'm not aware of any FPs being offered for this before Wednesday and don't understand how they possibly could be given the ride's soft-open status.

I was just in MDE looking at MK FP+ for today... And saw options for SDMT!! I have a screenshot, but not sure how to include it as I'm on my phone.

In lime now. CM walking the line said it may open 12 noon because thats what it did yesterday. Not sure if thats true or not.

Just got off the ride. Awesome! FP+ available early as 3pm late as 11pm. I had to use the web site not the smart phone app.

I just tried on the iPad app, and the 7DMT is coming up as available for tonight, if that helps anyone.

It was down about 20 minutes ago when we went to redeem our DAS card. Hardly anyone in line, so not sure how long it has been down. We've hit the return time on our DAS, so we will keep trying to get on -they've said they will honour it whenever they are running again. They were also issuing FP+ this morning apparently, and those will be honored outside of the time slots when they are uip again.

We were on the ride when it got stuck and were walked off. CM said it shouldn't be down long. that was at 11:55am. Been at lunch since so not sure if running again. That was our 2nd ride. Got an anytime FP.

You do know that the time on the DAS card is good until the park closes right? If it says come back at say 1:15pm you can come then or at midnight. Doesn't matter when you arrive as long as it is after that time listed.

And this proves that the FP+ Haters are incapable of getting over it. It's here. Deal with it. Every thread doesn't need to turn into a whining complaining mess because any excuse to complain about it is seized.

You don't know if it will or will not work well during the busiest times because we aren't there yet. We don't have the data. Instead of assuming it will fail how about you wait and see instead of boring us all with passive aggressive complaining because someone was excited to get a mine train FP today.

I'm having flashbacks to legacy FP implementation only magnifies times a million thanks to the internet. They're testing the FP+ system for the ride today so as they were only made available today of course there are some available.

But if you are referring to Memorial Day weekend as a "dead time" you must have never visited on this holiday. Today crowd level is at a 9 out of 10.

Wasn't happy about fast pass plus at first. But I sure am now. Brand-new ride and got fast pass day of. Cant beat that!!!! Getting ready to get on again right now!!!

Thanks, yes, we do know that....there was just no guarantee when they were going to come back online and if we'd still be at the park then. checked before we left for our midafternoon break and it was running and we got on! We really liked it...don't understand the haters.

Glad it worked out, but this is clearly unusual circumstances. If these are available day-of after official open, I would also be happy.

Do you understand..IT WASN'T OPEN YET!!!!!!

IF they do tests or soft openings for a day, an hour or a minute that is a bonus for you. You act as if since you were there YOU WERE ENTITLED to ride it, which you weren't. You could have got back in line when they re-opened it and they could have cut the line off right in front of you again. And, they don't owe you any explanation, THE RIDE IS NOT OFFICIALLY OPEN.

I understand that just fine. And, you do understand that it is officially not open until this week, yet people have been riding it for days? I most certainly did not feel entitled to ride. Perhaps you missed my point... I thought I was pretty clear that not riding was not my concern. The way they managed it was. Being lied to and toyed with was not appreciated.

If you're okay with that, power to you. I am not. Particularly when I am paying for the pleasure. Maybe its just me... But I just don't understand the apologists. I love Disney as much as most on this board. And because of that, I also think we have the responsibility as paying guests to hold them up to a certain standard.

If you went to Walmart because you heard they might have Elsa dresses on sale (I use that example because it is something we all know are in high demand right now) and were told by the manager that they were out of stock, but then he offered the next ten people through the doors the opportunity to buy them, I'm pretty sure if you had a young daughter who has been begging for one with you, you'd be pretty upset. If not, perhaps you are simply a bigger person than I am, but to me that wouldn't be okay.

A lie is still a lie. No matter how you try to defend it.

I rode mine train last night and it was fun. Smoothest coaster I ever rode. Hyped way too much and the soft opening discussion is ridiculous.
