SDMT FP+ 30 days out?

We are heading down August 17th and so far I can not get a FP for the mine train at 30 days out. Is this normal? We're not worried about the time we would be given, but with the crowds dropping a little bit in the 3rd week of August I thought we would be able to grab a FP for this. I guess I was wrong or am I doing something wrong? I have been booking FP's at midnight each night that becomes available.

i have been trying for about same time with no luck, they were avaialble for 17th yesterday but was not when we are at MK

I guess that's part of it. The 19th would be our first MK day so I didn't check for the first two days. We are doing a short visit to MK on the night of the 19th after a day a either Blizzard or Typhoon to hit some rides and see MSEP and Wishes. I figured I would hopefully get a SDMT FP for later at night after dinner. The 20 & 21 we are going over and staying at Universal for a night to take advantage of Express Pass and early entry to try to save some wait time for Harry Potter. I guess I'll have to hope we snag one for either of our last two day 8/22 or 8/23. We're not rope droppers so if I don't snag one I guess we will do stand by just before park closing one night.

I was wondering the same thing.. We are going for 5 days .Dec 10-14, but staying off site. We are at the Hilton in downtown Disney. We get EMH privledges but I am not sure we can book FPP at 60 days. I think we can book FPP at 30 days. Concerned we won't have much to chose from. We usualluy stay onsite but our rooms will be free this time with DH's Hilton Honors points so hard to pass up! Any thoughts?

so far the only FP's that have been unavailable for us at 30 days are the Mine Train, Anna and Elsa meet and greet(which for us is not big deal) and Wishes. Same for Wishes, not a big deal, we have a nice spot that we usually watch the fireworks from and if it is too crowded, we'll watch them from the other side of the castle.

Every other attraction, including the 3 mountains have been available with a wide choice of times.
