So an advantage for the 1 Day ticket is that they expire and you get credit towards your next purchase without being on site. Disadvantage is that If you buy MK only then I assume you can only get FP+ for that park only and you are forced to purchase the park hopper. Am I correct in this?

@karpy111 also mentioned problems with Modifying - he and his family were in the parks last week.

Disney may have tweaked the Modifying of FPs without ticket entitlements.

I'm having the same problem. No problem making changes at kiosks but I can't make any changes on website or app. Does this second MDE need to be linked to my primary MDE (the one with the tickets) to be able to make changes?

No, it had functioned independently of any other MDE. I believe @karpy111 was also using only one MDE with tickets attached to others.

Sorry to be 'that guy' and ask a probably obvious question but I can only seem to see mention of phantom accounts on one MDE.

Am i correct in this plan:

Buy 4 link it later MB's
Create new MDE account on wife's phone
Create 4 fake people on wife's MDE
Link those 4 new bands to 4 fake people
Use those 4 new bands in park to get SDFP+
Login to wife's MDE via browser to modify those SDFP+ to whatever we want
Use those 4 new bands just like normal bands

Keep my main MDE with tickets and primary bands for 30 day FP

Does that sound about right?

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Dave

Yes, but, keep watching this thread. There have been reports that the SDFPs can't be Modified via the app and website. @marciemi is researching Modifying this weekend and will report back in a few days.

Other than that, your 2nd MDE setup is accurate.

Thanks very much, ill subscribe to the thread

Thanks, I've done that and just got the alert for your reply.

Can't wait to try this out.

Im a bit worried that buying extra magic bands that I ask to be link it later might get the cast member suspicious...

Excellent, that sounds great then i can get our main bands at Disney Springs the next day.

@marciemi is reporting from Epcot that SDFPs cannot be Modified from the app or website.

SDFPs can be Modified at FP kiosks.

a few questions-
what crowd level makes this advantageous?
since the person above said that the new MBs only work at the kiosk, do I still need a second MDE account?
thanks

Just updating what Hiro said - I have been testing this regularly since the changes went into effect on April 10. I know for sure that for all of April and up to May 6 that I could make changes to SDFP's I'd gotten at a kiosk on both my app and mobile browser. Just this last week people have been reporting here that they haven't been able to do so. I tried yesterday at both Epcot and at AK later in the day (different SDFP's) and tried on both the App and mobile browser (I also tried to just change the time vs. the entire attraction). Each time it let me see everything that was available and go through the entire process of selecting a different attraction/time, then when I got to the last screen and scrolled down to "Save Changes" it gave me an error message. Different messages for the app & browser (shown below) but I checked after and none of the times did the change go through. So it appears for now that they have corrected the MDE system to check for valid ticket media before allowing changes.

Also, I did test and use one of the SDFP's I made at a kiosk and it still worked fine so at least that part is still intact!

From the mobile browser:

Editing to add that I'll be at AK today and will try some SDFP's one more time just in case.

It can be helpful at any crowd level, particularly at MK (since there are so many possible attractions) or at a Tiered park (great to have TSMM going into HS and grab RnRC with a SDFP upon arriving). Useful at AK now with the Jungle Book show to grab one for later in the day and still be able to use more than 3 during the day. I'm not sure it will help at all at Epcot - right now it doesn't since there are so few Tier 1's but maybe when Frozen opens it may be possible to get TT sometimes as a SDFP? A lot depends on what time you'll be at the park - if you plan to rope drop and leave by noon, SDFP's probably won't help much. If you plan to show up at noon, they definitely will for MK at least.

You don't "need" a second MDE account but the new MB's need to be assigned to "A" MDE account - either as phantoms on your real account or just to a second SDFP-only account. If you just buy the MB's and try to take them to a kiosk they will give an error message. If you let a CM assign them to your main account, they will just be clones of your current MB's and will not work for SDFP.

so, let me get this straight , if I have cards or MB (even if they are on MDE) for guests who are not with us... those will work? In 2014 my aunt and uncle came with us, we still have their MB.... but they are listed on MDE, but with no tickets for this trip. Will they be phantoms I could use?

Here is what I have in laying around the house. I have one MDE account right now. Please guide me on which of these might work at a kiosk for SDFP.
1. band one- only used for access to POP in Sept 2015. Never had a ticket attached to it. Presently listed on MDE but is Inactive.
2. band two- only used for access to POP in Sept 2015. Never had a ticket attached to it. Presently listed on MDE but is Active.
3. band three- had a 4 day ticket attached and those 4 days were used up. Presently listed on MDE and is active.

If I were to visit a park in the next week or so, which one(s) can I expect to function at the kiosk.

If the answer is "none of them", then I will consider buying a fresh MB for 13 dollars and then linking it to a MDE account with a phantom name.

How many parks/days in a row can you do this? If we arrive on Sunday(AK) and then Tuesday (Epcot) then Wednesday (MK) can we do this all 3 days? or is this a one shot deal?

You can book at a kiosk whenever you are in a park. Selection may be limited but it will save you from waiting in Standby for 3 rides that day.
