So I think I know the answer, but just wanted to make sure...I have tickets linked for our family on my MDE account with bands. If my wife makes her own account and links MNSSHP tickets to her MDE, can we use those cards for SDFPs?
Thanks!

Yes. You can pre-book FPs for your party date so you won't be able to use the tickets for SDFP on that specific day.

Thornton,
Resting now at the pool in CSR. Gonna head back in an hour. Happy to help! I had to originally swipe all 4 separate phantoms at the beginning of the day in order to have all 3 SDFP. They were immediately showing on my MDE app. I found it very easy to log in to the web mobile app and adjust the phantoms preferences when needed. Once they were all used up I just had to swipe one phantom at a kiosk and all 4 were showing.

So, say I'm there at rope drop and I had a couple of extra MagicBands so I could get SDFPs. I'd have to swipe my extra MagicBands as soon as I entered the Park (which would put me way behind the rope drop crowd) and choose my 3 SDFPs?

Another "It worked for me":) Got 3 SDFP at MK on 3/18. I was able to view and modify times/attractions on my phone from the website. I didn't try the app. I never use the app for my second MDE account, so that I don't accidentally mix them up.

You don't have to do it at rope drop, depending upon what you want and which park. You use your regular bands to enter the park. You only swipe your SDFP bands at the kiosk to get the SDFPs. I got my MK SDFPs on 3/18 around 11:30am. I have done it on previous trips at AK and MK early afternoon. I usually just do it when I have a chance, ie DH and DS are riding something that I am too chicken to ride, or when I see an empty kiosk.

I should qualify that your selection is better first thing, but you probably aren't going to get most headliners. MK you will get second tier, ie Haunted Mansion, Buzz, Jungle Cruise. I have seen Space Mountain before but not BMTRR and definitely not 7DMT. At DHS, you won't get TSMM. You can probably get TOT and maybe RNRC. At AK, we have gotten Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, and Primeval Whirl. I did replace PW with Safari once after stalking the site for a while.

I'm fine with that. We'll be doing as much as we can the first hour anyway and won't start using FP+ until the second hour or so. BTMRR is going to be down for refurb while we're there so won't have to worry about that one. What about Splash Mountain? This is our first trip since FP+ was implemented so this is all new to us.

I don't know about Splash. I have never ridden it. I was supposed to last week, but it didn't materialize:( So I have never gotten an FP+ for it. I have heard that the wait is usually pretty short early on, because it tends to be cooler still. I looked for one last week, but none were available before 6pm.

Splash depends immensely on the weather/time of year. In the winter months, I've frequently gotten it even a couple hours out, but...when I went to use it the line was 5 minutes anyway for Standby! In the summer I've had trouble getting it even booking FPP's a couple days in advance so the only way you'd get it same day would be if someone had cancelled it immediately before you tried to book.

Are the CMs able to see names when you scan a MB for a FP+?
As said above, yes, but they don't care. But...just clarifying they will see the name assigned to the MDE account, not the name used for personalizing. A lot of people try to come up with cute/funny names for their bands but those don't show up on the screen.

Yes. But they do not care.
Sorry to be redundant-- so even if I used my FIL's FP and it said Stephen and I'm obviously not a Stephen, they would'nt even be phased?

Another question--would anybody care if you were stopped by security on the way in and had extra MBs?

I know it's been said before but can I bring my kids magic bands with me from my trip in November to get SDFP? They are linked to the same MDE account as my upcoming trip in May however. Just not sure if anything changed from that perspective.

We are not big ride people and the 3 we have each day fit with our tours, etc but would love to grab SDFP for Fantasmic or ROL if they have it open.

Just reading about this and it looks like I won't be able to take advantage of this glitch being the only magic bands I will have are our new ones for this upcoming trip and our old ones from previous trips. All with our names linked to them. Am I correct about this?

Yes, all of your MB are linked together like a "hive mind" so your old mb and new mb are the same account and would have the same FP+.

Hey, I have a Stephen! I've been Stephen about a zillion times in FB lines! :) I'll do you one better though. Many times I've used the wrong one - gone in a FP line and scanned my MB and then had the CM say something like "Um, your FP is for Buzz. This is Space" and then said "Oops!" and opened my purse, pulled out a different card and scanned it (making it extremely obvious that I'm not "Stephen" since I just scanned as "Marcie") and they waved me right in. If it turns green they don't care.

I've seen people with daisy chains of MB's on the outside of their backpacks. They encourage you to buy extra "collectible" ones. Some people carry them for kids or older family members who don't want to wear them. Some group leaders keep them for their groups and only hand them out at rides. Security people outside the parks are looking for security threats and could care less why you have MB's.

Yes, that still works. (As of yesterday at least!). Again, just a reminder that this could change at any time.

Oh wow!

Great, thanks.
Yep totally understand and really not a big deal. This is hubby and I going alone for anniversary and without littles looking forward to standing in queues. I kinda miss that. Some of my fondest memories was standing in the queues looking at all the stuff. We can do that stress free without kids :)
