I hope others try this because I felt like I must be doing something wrong. I know Sunday I got to the screen that showed I could pick another time but don't think I ever clicked it to see that it then wouldn't actually let me get one. But I kept trying - the one I had booked only one for I tried booking 2 more and then cancelling them in case you had to have and cancel and still couldn't get another Tier 1 (in the same park - I had no trouble getting one in another park). If others find the same thing I agree it makes sense to book all 3 in advance if you plan to stay in the park. Seems like booking 1 or 2 would only be helpful if you then were parkhopping. I'll try again either this weekend or next week but hoping others test it in the meantime!
So you couldn't get another tier 1 even if you cancelled your remaining 2?
Say I am at Epcot have TT, Nemo and Pixar Films. Use TT but cancel other 2, I can't get TT again?

I could not today at HS. I used RnRC then cancelled 2 others (I think Little Mermaid and Muppets). It allowed me to book Land/Illuminations at Epcot but if I tried for anything in DHS I got the message above (last one after #2). I also (using my son's AP) had booked just GMR in advance. Same result - could book a Tier 1 at Epcot but not at HS - got the message that I'd already chosen one from that group. I even tried adding two more Tier 2's and then cancelling them but it didn't work. I swear it had worked for me at Epcot on Sunday but I think I was going to the point where I chose "Change Experience" and when I saw the times offered I thought that meant I was okay (but didn't book another because I didn't plan to ride Land again). I will definitely test this again and hope others will too because obviously that would be a huge benefit if/when Soarin' and all the Frozen stuff open at Epcot (assuming they're all Tier 1). There definitely may be a way to do it that I'm missing!

You're the best, Marcie! Thanks for the research and for sharing. :)

Trying to figure all this out.... We have bands from when they were "trials" back in 2013. They no longer show up in my MDE. Is there any way to use them? They were originally a part of my account. Are they too old to work? Do I just need to buy an extra set? Is it possible to link them to a different account, or since they were once on mine, there's no going back? Because of course I booked this trip on my normal account without knowing anything about the secondary FPs.... Oops.

Ok so i found my RF chip keys to the world cards from our trip New years week 2012/13
One final question, and then I'll stop bothering everyone.
When we go to the kiosk, how do i link the cards together to make the same reservation for both of us? Is there a way, or do I have to do each one separately and hope we can get the same times?

You scan each card first before choosing the attractions. As you scan each one the name (or just a number if a name wasn't assigned to it - some of my waterpark ones just showed as either "Guest 1" or "ID Number ending in 1234") pops up. Then you select after that - both names will be checked but if you come back later and want to change one for example you can just uncheck them as well. But if you use those 3 FPP's and come back and scan one of the cards, both names should show up.

Was hoping that was the way, thanks!
We are bringing bands and cards, hoping the cards work, if not we will have bands. Thanks for all your info on this! 26 Days!

They're not too old to work. Why not try to link them to a separate MDE? In any case, it's definitely worth taking them along to try for SDFP.

I have 4 AP vouchers(green cards) that I bought back in 2013 before a price increase. I am guessing they have chips in them, but I can't see the outline in the black strip.
This is in addition to the 2 AP vouchers that I have assigned to us that we are currently using in MDE. I have read this and the other thread many times, but just want to make sure I don't shoot myself in the foot by doing something crazy.
Can I create 4 alter egos in my current MDE, assign these 4 vouchers, make fast passes, and then just tap the green cards at the ride entrance?
It seems like this is possible.
Thanks!

And then assign these 4 vouchers back to us real people in the future with no problems since they were never activated at a GS window?

Thanks! I JUST figured it out! They were linked to an old email address! So I found them and they are active. Soooo.... That means we should be all set to SDFP? There are no current tickets attached of course. For whatever reason, Disney has like 3 emails for me. We haven't been since 2013, so I had forgotten that Disney also used another address for me! Yay! Hopefully that just saved me $60

The tricky part is that those vouchers almost certainly don't have the chips. The vouchers will entitle you to prebook FP+ -- but to *access* those FP+ you'll need Magic Bands that are linked to the same individuals the vouchers are linked to. Or plastic cards from expired tickets if you have them (not linked to you personally)?

Plenty of people buy extra Magic Bands just in order to access SDFP. In your case, you can prebook -- so it would definitely be worth the cost of Magic Bands -- if you don't already have them.

Create your 4 alter egos (all under age 18) in your current MDE and assign the 4 vouchers, then go in and confirm that the FP+ system will allow you to select FP+ -- do that first to confirm that you're not mistaken about the entitlements you think are on those tickets. Now you just need a way to access the entitlements.

If you only have 2 people on the resort room, you could add 2 phantoms (under age 18) to the reservation. If you have a room that can accommodate 5 guests, you can create 3 phantoms. Plus one more under age 3! That would give you four extra MBs for the vouchers.

In the future, you will have no trouble reassigning the vouchers to the real people.

ok one more question, which I know the answer to
I can do this more than once on the same card correct? I can do it every day on a three day trip using the same card, as well a month from now for three days?

Yes, as long as that specific RFID does not link to FPs for that specific day, you can use it as often as you like.

I have been reading the FP+ loophole thread, but it is a bit overwhelming. I am trying to figure out what would be easiest for our situation. We are a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 two year old). We have annual passes for the 2 adults and do have magic bands from a previous stay for all 3 of us. I did purchase 3 additional annual passes last summer before the prices went up, but we have not activated those yet.

Our 2 year old doesn't do well waiting in lines and we live within a few hours so we typically take 2/3 day short trips 1-2 times a year. We don't typically use the rider swap unless we are with family since DH and I don't enjoy riding rides by ourselves.

Our next trip is in the fall and our 2 year old is now obsessed with frozen. We would like to try and visit all 4 parks, but only do select attractions at each park and spend most of our time at MK.

I think Epcot will be our biggest challenge since we won't have multiple days to pick tier 1 attractions. We would like to ride Soarin (should we do riderswap? do both adults need FP+ for this?), A&E meet and greet, Norway ride, which I suspect will all be tier 1.

What are our best options for saving the most time?
-Should we purchase 3 additional magic bands and link our future AP to them? How would we do that exactly?
-Should we add another infant to our reservation to get another magic band and try to get same day FP+ once we get there?
-Other options?

A-Should we purchase 3 additional magic bands
B- and link our future AP to them?
C-How would we do that exactly?

A- You can.
B- No. Because (likely) your new APs are already linked to your original MDE account.
C- As long as you don't link your new MBs to your current MDE account, you can get same-day FP+ using JUST the separate MBs, alone.
Or, you can buy new multi-day MYW tickets and link them (and your new MB's) to a
new, separate MDE account and book advance FP+ using those tickets.
(You can hold the tickets, unused, for this trip and use them (or help pay for a new AP) at some time in the future.)

As far as I know they are not linked to my original MDE account. I purchased them through AAA and have only linked my current AP's not the other 3. We have not activated the other 3 though.
