SDFP... Here now. Works! *Read Post #48 and Post #671*

I didn't say it wasn't a valid topic, I was simply asking if anyone has discussed whether they thought it was morally acceptable in the "how to thread". Its a long thread and didn't want to go through it to see if it ever came up. Simply curious.
Yes, I was just giving you the board position on it and in Post #227 of that thread, there is a Moderator's directive and many posts were deleted whenever they appeared. So every post remained on the topic of SDFP.

I don't think the topic should have been deleted and I am glad it is there. I find if all very interesting which is why I'm reading up on it. However if peoples post were deleted because they disagreed with it, that is not right. As long as they were within the posting guidelines they should have been allowed (again I haven't read the thread so maybe the civilized post are still there?) to disagree.

I agree with deleting those for/against posts. That should be a separate thread and has been to debate the morality of the topics... It's hard enough to wade through these threads for useful/new information even without all the accustations and arguments.

Thats my point. You can go into a thread about what shoes do you wear at the park only for it to spiral out of control into a argument over someone putting their 8yo in a stroller....yet those post still stands. I won't take up anymore of this thread. Perhaps I should create a thread to debate the topic. I guess unless it will just be me in there lol.

That's great. You should be able to link them to a phantom in your MDE. It's definitely better to be able to modify your SDFP, obviously. But it's not as though you must link a card in order to use it for SDFP the way you must link a band.
I created phantoms and linked the WP cards. I now have 4 more active cards that I'm hoping I'll be able to modify SDFP+ via the app or website.
Thanks so much!

You can pre-book FP+ for those cards for whatever number of park days you have remaining, as you probably know. You don't need to use them for park entry in order to use them to enter for a FP+, as you probably know. :) And after you use up the first day's worth of FP+, you can book a second day, etc. If that works out, you won't bother with SDFP for those cards.

I recently found out I'm going to a conference in July (at the Grand Floridian) and plan to push the extra FP+ "loophole" to the limit. I have already purchased 4 tickets for my family for our trip in December and plan to use those as FP+ generators for the July solo trip. I'll let you know how it goes!

What is SDFP= Same Day Fast Pass :) found it !

That's what is a little confusing. I tried to pre-book FP+ with my WP cards and it said I have no park admission, which is true because I only have WP days left.
So I then tried to pre-book using my MB for my upcoming trip and again it says I don't have park admission. Is this because I'm outside 60 days?

Yes. Wait until your window opens.

Trying to grasp all of this, and I wont buy new bands or create a second MDE account, but can I take a friends magic bands from a recent trip and use those at a kiosk to make SDFP?

I know this has been discussed a lot but I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. I have old magic bands from a previous trip (Nov 2013). Those bands were linked in MDE to my email address. For our next trip, I'd need to have DH create a MDE account to link the new bands to his email address. We then could make 6 FP+'s per person (3 on old bands & 3 on new), correct? Can we make 4th FP+'s on both sets of bands while in the parks once the 1st 3 are used? Thanks!

Yes, that's right. You would get 3 SDFP's and 3 pre-planned FP+s per person.

Are you saying you can use unused valid tickets for SDFP without using them for entry, and still use them for entry at a later date, as well as make pre planned FP+ on them as long as they are linked to an MDE OVER AND OVER AND NEVER USE THEM FOR ENTRY ?
This gets more fascinating by the minute
Sorry if this has been asked and answered multiple times.

Yes. @ScrapYap's thread has all that info in her first post. Her thread is linked in this thread a few times. Link is in Post #87.

In addition to your summary, you can use the cards from used-up tickets (or resort rooms) to make SDFP. And MBs that never had any tickets.

As an example, I have a previous MDE (old MDE) from a trip in 2014 and I created a new MDE for my trip in December 2016. I also found out I have a work related trip in July and I'm going to sneak in a few days in the parks. I created the July reservation in old MDE and I attached a 2 day park hopper to this. I will use my new MDE, that has my tickets for December, to create FP+ reservations for each of the attached tickets. I will enter the park with the 2 day park hoppers, but I will be able to utilize all the FP+'s from the other tickets without ever using the ticket entitlement. This will allow me up to 15 pre-selected FP+'s per day.

Now, before anyone gets upset, there's really no way I'll use all those FP+'s (too confusing), just showing how this loophole can be exploited.

If you go to Disney every few years, and can spring for an extra set of tickets, I really think this fast pass "generator" method is much better than SDFP (same day fast passes) Personally, I think that SDFP's are only helpful in the Magic Kingdom.

I will plan of purchasing another set of tickets prior to my December trip, attach it to the old MDE, to keep the ball rolling with a extra set of FP+'s for everyone.
