SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

Both profiles show different MBs. I looked at the Friends and Family section where I can edit profiles. My 2 DDs and I show 3 resort reservations on my primary MDE, which is correct. DH only shows 2, but his profile on the other MDE shows 1. DDs and I show none, which is correct.

All of this seems to point to, as you said, the CM somehow pulling DH's profile from the other MDE. I'm not sure how that could even happen, since the profiles aren't linked in any way and we use different names, but now that means DH isn't actually on the 3rd reservation. So how do I fix that? Can I just cancel and rebook that portion of the trip online through the primary MDE? Is it that simple? I hesitate to call and risk a CM merging both MDEs.

And TY for your help!!!

That's great that he wasn't cloned.

You might want to go on your primary MDE and make the new reservation first. After that is safely made, cancel the reservation with the "wrong" DH. Maybe attempt to make that cancellation from the MDE with the wrong DH, if the system will allow you to. Otherwise, cancel it from within the primary MDE.

Hopefully you'll be able to rebook with the same rate.

Your two MDE profiles aren't connected through friend invitations?

Does DH have his own separate MDEs (in addition to the two you've mentioned)?

The 2 MDEs are not connected in any way. DH has his own MDE but we've never linked through a friend invitation and he doesn't actually use his. He just happened to sign up for an account at some point. In my MDE, it still gives me the option to connect through a Disney account.

Luckily, I already know I can rebook at the same rate. I wasn't sure whether it would be best to cancel first (to be sure the rogue profile was out of the primary MDE) or book a new reservation first, or if it would make a difference either way. Of course, now it's suddenly telling me that I have to call to modify or cancel from the primary MDE, but I'll check the other MDE and see if I can do it there.

I was able to cancel through the other MDE and rebook with no problem through my primary MDE. All of our MBs are now linked to the proper people and all is right with the world! Thank you so much for your help, ScrapYap! You rock!!!

Used FP+ in 2014 and spring 2016. No experience with SD FP or obtaining multiple sets of FPs.

Have - 3 MBs and 1 used card. (1 MB belongs to me, others are family not staying in Nov) - no unused ticket days on any of these.
Reserved - same MDE profile. 1 MB through CR room reservation. No tickets yet.
Purchasing - 1 MVMCP for 11/18. 1d 1park for 11/21. Park TBD.

1) How should I purchase these 2 new tickets and set them up in MDE so as to maximize FP use? Are multiple sets of FP even possible with the media I have/need?
2) Can someone point me to best strategies for FP choices on during MVMCP (7DMT and Jungle Cruise with overlay are my top priorities)?
3) Any changes to FP+ that I should be aware of since 3/2016?

Thanks so much!

@BlueFairy ~ Merging you to the SDFP thread where the 1st Post will address some of your questions.

Your MVMCP tickets may allow you to pre-book FPs for the Party Day. Some have reported their MVMCP have not allowed them to access pre-booking of FPs.

They should be able to book at the 30 day mark. That's been the case with MNSSHP.

Thanks! Some posters have reported booking MNSSHP at 60 days but unable to do so for their MVMCP that are being used during the same stay.

Then, some who purchased MVMCP have been booking at 60 days. So, if they don't work at 60 then possibly the 30 day mark?

Both parties FP wonky at the 60 day mark - though more likely to work for resort guests (but not with the umbrella function). But they should be bookable at 30 days. MNSSHP guests must be finding that? And CMs are now reading the "no FPs for the parties" speech (though we all know that's not entirely true) - but possibly a bellweather for future years.

Thanks, ScrapYap. I'll remember to add in the "try at 30 days" even if onsite.

No MNSSHP confirmations of 30-day booking. Onsite are confirming the 60-day worked. Will let you know if anything changes. :)

found a few old tickets in toy bin, my preschooler used for playing supermarket. only waited in one 10min standby line my entire trip...sdfp worked great thanks!!

I dont think multiple bands are for me, old tickets easier to carry. CM asked to help me and asked to scan my band, I told them the tickets belonged to others in my party and that I didnt need help. Quick easy interaction, they didnt ask further questions.

Updating. Yes, thank you @hiroMYhero. I read all of post #1.

So, I have my old MB, and my new MB for current reservation assigned to Me. Above extra card and MBs are available.

Purchased will call tix and received email barcode (no cards mailed)- 11/18 MVMCP and 1d MK Peak ticket. Both currently assigned to Me.

Does this scenario work -
1)Reassign 1d MK ticket to Daughter (MB from 2014. Not going on this trip). This is my point of confusion. Since tickets were purchased (and assigned) but no media retrieved, does this work?
2)At 60day mark, book 3 FP for Daughter (valid 1day) and 3 FP Me (valid MVMCP) for 11/18 (6 total rides after 3:30pm, none duplicated). Is this a problem to achieve at 60days since Daughter is not on the resort reservation?
3)If MVMCP doesn't work, drop Daughter from the plan and move 1d MK ticket to Me. Settle for 3 FPs for 11/18 after 3:30pm.
4)Use the Me MB (valid MVMCP) to enter the park via party tapstile. If available, use Daughter MB to enjoy extra pre-booked FPs.
5)Sat. a.m. Reassign 1day MK ticket back to Me and prebook new set of 3 FP for Monday.
6)Use Me MB to enter park on Monday and access 3 prebooked FPs. Use Daughter, husband, and other bands at kiosk to book SDFPs as desired.

Probably asking something that has been answered a hundred times, but it's SO confusing. Thanks.

@BlueFairy
1. Tickets can be reassigned as often as necessary.
2. Yes, she needs to be on the room reservation for the 60-day window. Can you add her - is she under 10?
3. If the MVMCP ticket doesn't work at 60 days, try 30 as ScrapYap suggested.
4. Yes
5. Perfect!
6. Yes!
Let us know how it works out on Sunday!

2) I can hope my TA would add her before 60day mark if asked. Daughter is 11, so ticket matches age of kid. And there is no one else on room reservation, so we don't get charged for occupancy.
3) Yes, I saw that.

Great! Thanks. I will give it a shot.

Two questions:

Has anyone stopped at another park to pull SDFP on using their 2nd set bands/cards on their way to another park? This way they have some evening FP at that park before arriving at their other park? Are there FP kiosks outside of the entrance or close to the entrance? I'm thinking of doing this for AK.

Also, we have two grandparents who are joining us. They are buying two-day tickets. They want to go to MK, but aren't sure about which other park. They want to "play it by ear". I would love to go ahead and book FP for them. If they decide not to go to that park, I assume we can we still use their FP+, then book them more each day until they actually use their second day, correct? So they wouldn't be SDFP, but more of night before FP+ res. Make sense?

Did a solo visit to WDW from Sept 9th-16th. Crowd levels were low. I used 2 extra family MBs at the kiosk. Worked like a charm. This thread has been great. I hope I can do the same thing during my upcoming November trip. Thanks everybody for setting up and maintaining this thread!

I just signed into MDE. Before I was allowed to move forward I had to agree to terms stating the valid theme park admission used to make FP has to be the same valid theme park admission used to enter the park on the day they are redeemed. Have the terms always stated that? Honestly don't think I ever read them before. I recently bought next years tickets to use for GLFP

I was just able to do my 60 days FP. At first it did not seem to be letting me make FP for me using a MVMCP ticket. So we have DD a 1day ticket and I used that instead (btw, 7DMT was already sold out). Booked 3 FP on that ticket. Then I went back and started a party with me. I was able to select only the party date since I do not have a regular park ticket for that. Perhaps when I first tried, it was a few seconds too early? In any case, we now have a set for the party ticket and a set for DD's regular ticket.

Well shoot. I wonder now if I should rework and move my highest priority FPs to my profile.

Interesting. Two questions. 1) who else thinks this is new (I don't recall either way) and 2) is there confirmation that it still works even though against the ToS?

Where are you seeing this? Computer or app? I just tried looking on both and can't find it, even going into the "legal/privacy" and similar links. Wondering if I missed an update or am looking in the wrong place.

I also don't know if new or I just don't know where to look. I can answer your second question though that it works as of Saturday since I used about 20 SDFP's for my son and his GF who were visiting. I'll be using one today with GLFP so can let you know after today as well.
