SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

I read through it once but it's A LOT of information to process. I also read some of the recent posts to get an idea of how it has currently been working for folks.
I had to read it through about 3 times before being able to absorb it all. It's a lot of info but once you absorb it it makes perfect sense. I think. lol

I was just checking out the touring plans thing and it does appear that there are MANY SDFPs available even at this point in the afternoon, especially at the MK. Does anyone know how accurate that is?

We have one day when I am doing epcot in the morning and a 5:15 dinner at narcoossees then over to the MK for the evening - wishes at 10 and EMH until midnight. I was hoping to use the SDFP to score a few FPs to make our time there better (esp since the MSEP will be gone). It will be our first time at the MK for our whole trip so pretty much any 4 FPs will do (one will be booked on our main bands as the 4th FP, the 3 when we arrive there as a SDFP). even if it cuts the wait off of things like haunted mansion and buzz it would be worth it.

It looks like Illuminations FP viewing is available quite late into the day now with so many better Tier 1's so we can probably get that first thing in the morning as well.

It basically looks like most attractions except the ones you'd expect have FPs available as SDFPs, especially if you are doing it first thing in the morning.

Okay, I just checked it for you for a party of 2 (all the free people I have to check for right now) at 2:30pm. Looks like almost everything still has some availability for later in the day except for a handful of things, some almost immediately. I'm just attaching them all as thumbnails to give you an idea on times. The front page like this usually doesn't show all the most immediate times but usually the first one listed is the first time available. If there are more than 3 times, there may be a lot more in-between the ones shown. If less than 3 shown, those are usually the only available times. If I can remember, I'll try again in the evening. The problem you may run into is that I'm guessing you won't get there until 7 -7:30 at the earliest and if EMH starts at 10, there really aren't even 3 more time windows left for FPP. Any possibility of one person jumping on the monorail and going over to book them before you eat dinner? I'm betting there would be a lot more availability at 4:45 than 7:30. Anyway, screenshots:

um duh. I just realized I can check myself too. Thank you so much but now I feel a little stupid too lol. I will check around 7-7:30 and see what is available. Not that it is necessarily comparable... I think it will be more comparable when the halloween parties start running in September what the park is like on non-party nights.

No problem. I was assuming you probably had a package and couldn't check until it opened up at 60 days and you weren't there yet. Hopefully it helps someone who can't check! Just FYI for anyone following, I checked now at 7pm (again for 2) and these were the earliest available times for remaining attractions:
Barnstormer 7:30
Buzz 9
Dumbo 8:15
HM 10:05
Small World 9:15
Jungle Cruise 8:50
Teacups 9:10
Magic Carpets 9:10
Pooh 6:55
Ariel 8:30
Cinderella 8:40
Mickey 7:20
Philharmagic 11:05
Monsters Inc 7:50
Peter Pan 10
Pirates 8:40
Space 9:30
Splash 11
Speedway 7:45
Under the Sea 9:20

But this is with the park closing at midnight so I'd expect less with a closing at 10.

If i were going tonight i could probably get buzz, space and speedway. Or magic carpets, pirates, jungle cruise. or teacups, pooh, pan. lots of good choices for getting stuff done. I will definitely report back how it goes in December.

for kicks I just checked what is still left for FP at MK an hour and 15 minutes before closing with a midnight closing with their corresponding standby waits:
it's a small world 20 mins
Buzz lightyear 40mins
dumbo 10mins
haunted mansion 35 mins
mad tea party 10 mins
pirates of the caribbean 10 mins
barnstormer 15 mins
magic carpets 20 mins
pooh 25 minutes

so even if you showed up an hour before closing you could still ride something and save major time - buzz, haunted mansion, even pooh, magic carpets and it's a small world would save you some. I think it is definitely worth it at the MK for me (my child likes all of these rides and would gladly do any of them).

So our tickets arrived yesterday, and I assigned them both to ghost profiles. I then reassigned them to our actual profiles. Does that mean that if I assign a Magicband to the ghost profiles, they'll be able to get SDFP?

Your "ghosts" can use the hard, plastic tickets as they no longer link to the entitlements nor to any FPs.

Actual Profiles need a MB to enter the parks and FP lines.

Right, so does that mean that instead I need to reassign the plastic ticket back to my phantom accounts? Then assign magic bands to the actual accounts in order to get advance FPs?

I'm not sure if you have read @ScrapYap's first post but once you assign a hard, plastic ticket to a Profile, it is stuck there permanently. That's why your "ghosts" have the plastic tickets for SDFP.

I'm not sure from your previous posts whether or not you have MBs linked to your "Actual" people - but the "Actual" people are the ones who need the MB.

Ghosts = Plastic Tickets for SDFP
Actual People = MagicBands

I read through it a few times but, despite the warnings against people liable to get confused, it was still confusing.

I have two plastic park tickets. I don't currently have MagicBands. I originally assigned the park tickets to two phantom accounts, then reassigned them to the actual profiles. It seemed to be the advice ScrapYap gave me a good few pages back, though it looks like I misunderstood again.

I want to start booking FP+ on the plastic cards tomorrow while I wait for my MBs to arrive. They're currently assigned to our actual MDE accounts. If I do this, do I lose out on SDFP?

Book your FPs tomorrow for your Actual People because your "enter the park" entitlements are linked to them. You need MBs to get into the parks and to enter a FP line.

Your plastic tickets are empty and sitting with the ghosts - use the plastic tickets for SDFPs when in the parks.

So all I need to do is buy the magic bands and link them to our MDEs, without the need to reassign the ticket back to the phantom? And my park admission/FPs will be on the bands, the SDFPs accessible on the plastic cards?

Yes!! Perfect - you've got it!!! :)

Actually I did have one final question. Turns out you can't get MBs shipped to the UK without paying a tonne in shipping. Would we be able to use our plastic cards to get into the park, then buy an MB in the park, assign it to our regular accounts and then use the card for SDFP? If the answer to that is no we may as well just try to get hold of used park tickets from someone else to get the same benefit.

Your plastic tickets can't be used for park entrance as your "enter the park" entitlements are with the Actual People.

What is your first park? You can buy MBs outside of each park, at the TTC/MK, and in Disney Springs.
