Today is our FP+ day. On our HS day, I wasn't able to get SDD until early evening. Should I really tie up our ability to get additional FPs by keeping SDD? I am debating about switching to a morning RnRC or TSMM so that we have the ability to try for 4th and 5th FPs. What do you think?

Adding to the decision process, we have been on SDD multiple times and the older kids in the group enjoy getting in line close to park close and riding it stand by. However, my nephew is 6 and this is his favorite ride in the park.

We think SDD is much better at night-if you aren't going to try to view Fantasmic and your nephew is able to stay up until park closing (I assume your trip is in February) I would do that. We purposely make SDD FP for after dark and rope drop ToT and wait in line for Toy Story Midway Mania since the queue is so cute.

I'd keep it at least for now, because it's WAY easier to modify fastpasses for rides you already have, vs. trying to search for both a ride + time.

I wouldn't tie up my FP's for an entire day by having an evening FP preselected. Especially if you're able to get through your tier 2's really early you can get a lot of tier 1 FP's throughout the day at HS. Even if you ended up doing stand by for SDD, the amount of time you can save using FP's all day will outweigh that one wait time.
