Hi All,

I just tried to make a reservation ahead of time for Palo's from the DCL website, and it says something to the effect of "Nothing Available."

I called DCL in Florida and the woman confirmed that there is nothing available.

My question is simple: Is it really "nothing available" or do they put a block of reservations set aside for boarding time?

Thanks,

John

John,

It is my understanding they do hold back some reservations. I would make it a priority to get to that area upon boarding. Good luck to you!

They save some of the reservations till after boarding. Go to the Palo ressie place as soon as you board and it is very likely you will be able to make a ressie. If that doesn't work, you will be placed on a waiting list. Call them every day--chances are that you will get in.

They hold ressies both for onboard booking and for concierge. If the concierge level guests don't fill those ressies that the concierge holds, they are released to the rest of us. I suspect that the online ressies have cut some of the ressie rush on board, but don't be discouraged...there are more available.

Someone recently posted that they hold back 60% of the ressies for boarding day...

I agree with the poster and I would arrive EARLy to reserves..Also, people have reported finding spots inbetween now and departure time, as people cancel,or switch up..I would check daily..

HTH :goodvibes

Does anyone know the % of the actual ressies that are put on-line? For instance, if there are 300 Palo ressies available, how many would be available on-line?

I wonder if they only make a small amount available on-line so that it cuts down on some of the ressie rush?

Sorry, Mommasita, I think I just missed your post on the % while I was dawdling with mine!

I would like to hear back from those who were unable to secure ressies and how hard was it to get them on board. I know when we signed up for brunch, we were able to catch a glimpse of the ressie book.

Well, I feel much better. Thanks everybody!

If you go and make reservations as soon as you get on the boat , you will be able to get reservations. We went there almost right away and had our choice of any time or day

Yes, you should have no problem getting them on the ship. Do that first thing when you board. I have been on a full cruise, and Palo would still have open ressie, especially on the first night. I wouldn't stress about it too much!!

Hey MJ!

I think I will be seeing you at Port Canaveral, I will be getting on the ship when you get off of it (Sept 3rd).

Have a WONDERFUL time!

John

Just got back from the 4 day Wonder cruise, 8/7 thru 8/11. I had made my ressies for Palo online for the last night of the cruise. When we got onboard I found out what our dining rotation was, APPT. I didn't want to miss Tritons so I went down at 2:30 to see if I could switch it to the 2nd Parrot Cay night. The place was empty and it was switched with no problem at all.

So, I wouldn't worry, I'm sure you will be able to get the ressie you want.

Enjoy your cruise.

I have a question about this-- what if you have the REAS package booked? Doesn't that mean that you are guaranteed a spot in Palo? Just curious as to what would happen if I were to book and nothing was available since I have the REAS.?
