Alright here is my 1 test CYMK Screen Printed SHIRT!
100_1052.jpg

I'm pretty proud of this... I am going to order better ink so my colors are more vibrant but I'm really happy with the detail on it! SOOOOOO This means you can take ANY design from the WONDERFUL DISingers on here and turn it into a SILK SCREEN DESIGN! you don't have to use IRON on transfer sheets. I'm going to do a video on how I did this. To show how u take any of the awesome designs from here and transform them to silk screen. Now for this process u need 4 screens. :) and u cant fudge on that cause you have to transfer the colors on top of each other while think ink is sill wet. But I'll give ALLL details :)

OMG, you are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I was just signing on to reply that I love your new ideas and scrolled down to see this. Wow, this opens up a whole new world of posibilities. I can not wait to see the video on how to bring this to life. I have to admit, I have no clue where to start.

I was still thinking of the old way and trying to figure out how to do a Firework type design that looks like a Mickey Head. Had things started but nothing right now.

Also, as for your Tower of Terror, if it wouldn't be too obvious, I think orange shirts would look great!

Thanks again for all of your inspiration. I have my YuDu and just need to get the extra supplies I can't wait to see your next video (thanks again for making these for all of us to learn from!!!)

I watched your video earlier today. You have a creative imagination! These shirts are awesome!

I'm planing on trying to film this weekend. :) shouldn't be nearly as long because I've already covered the basics. You will need photo shop but I think I remember you saying you had it :) if not i'd be more than happy to separate the colors for you.

Subscribing so I can read and watch when I have more time. You are so kind for sharing all of your knowledge and designs. Lately I have been dreaming about getting the entry level brother machine that does embroidery, but that costs at least $300. Christmas is coming up though! Gorgeous work!

Thanks :) I love my brother. I've always said I'm a go big or go home kinda girl. I used large chunk of my tax return about 4 or 5 years go and got my brother cost me $2300. After I got mine my I inspired my mom to go out and get one. She got the viking se used for $4500 (was an $8000 new). After a few short weeks with it, she hated it. Was too high tech for her. So have had it ever since lol. When you sew on it automatically lifts the foot up and down based on how you tap on the foot peddle and the speed you are going. It spoiled me. Tried to use cheap old machine and kept sewing with out putting my foot down. I don't know if I can ever go back now LOL I've very lucky and thankful for my machines. I've used them to death and have really got my money out of them. I use it for EVERYTHING!

I lightened the blue just a little added some water. I also changed the order i printed and it made a WORLD of difference. I printed Yellow, Cyan, Magenta Black

Teresa---

You have no idea how you have inspired me to do this. I am amazed at how wonderful of work you to. I have no idea how to do the artwork... BUT I LOVE how you have taken your time to teach us how. I am going right now to go and purchase this yudu thing from Jo Ann Fabrics. It is the only place that carries it in my area (45 minutes away)...I am so excited to try this. We leave in two weeks, and I am going to try my hardest to make something.

YOU ARE MY HERO!

For sure you are awesome!

I just watched the video (THANK YOU!!!). I can't say that I totally get how 4 colors create such a colorful output but wow, it looks amazing!

I do have a couple quick q'ns for you to make sure I am getting it.

I am guessing that this is the duh q'n but when you separate the colors, that creates 4 distinct screens (feel like I remember you saying you labeled them by color but wanted to make sure I heard correctly).

Also, just confirming what I think I saw (how is that for a confusing sentence). Trial and error is what got you to the finished product you liked (i.e. color order, color choice etc).

You say do wet on wet by that are you meaning to not let one color dry before adding the next (i.e. when you start plan to finish all your shirts in one sitting?). If you have more than 4 shirts would you recommend only doing 4 at a time or would more be ok?

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing so much!!!

when you separate the colors it automatically breaks the file in to 4 separate files one for each color. When I printed them I marked each transfer sheet with the color it was. Also when I burned them I put a piece of scotch tape at the top of each frame marking the colors. Otherwise you'll never beable to tell the difference later. :)

Yes, trial and error is how i got the brightness of the finished product. They suggest to print in order of yellow, magenta, cyan, black.. but that just didn't work for my print. switch it around, but black always goes last.

Yes for wet on wet you make sure the ink doesn't dry. I would be careful, even with me doing 4 shirts one of them dried a little too long and black came out a little darker and didn't blend the same as the other shirts. Didn't look awful but just different. So if your doing water based inks I would probably think twice before doing more than 4 shirts. I'm getting ready to play with some plastisol ink here in the few weeks. From my understanding it doesn't dry like water based does you might not have to worry about it.

Also just so you know the difference, water based inks are suppose to become one with the shirt. Plastisol inks sit on top of the shirt. I'm thinking of redoing this design on orange shirts and waiting to see what the plasisol inks look like :) Also with plastisol inks you don't have to worry about them drying out on your screens the way you do with water based.

PS I also didn't understand it 100% until I did. Once you try it you'll understand more. If you look REALLY REALLY close you can see dots that your eye can't see looking at the whole image.

I tried to take a closer pic of how the ink looks on the shirt. Some areas the colors blend, others have different color dots to make it appear in the different shades.
