Scrappy FE/meet gifts?

Anyone got any ideas for - or sites where I might find - small items made with scrapbooking supplies?

In the past, I've made laminated film strip book marks and laminated magnets. The book marks wound up being WAY more work than I thought, even though I used my cricut.

I need over 100.

I'm planning on making over 100 bookmarks for my trip. We're going on Halloween, so I'm going to make a ghost Mickey with SCAL.

My other plan is to use VistaPrint to make a postcard that people can get postmarked at Castaway Cay (they send out emails for free items all the time if you sign up for their newsletter). While it's digital and not handmade, I consider it scrappy.

I was also thinking of buying emergency sewing kits (at the dollar store) for each stateroom. Something you may need, but may not necessary bring with you, you know?

I'm not thrilled with any of these, so I can't wait to hear other ideas.

Wow! That is one big FE group! Are you not breaking it down into smaller groups for the gift exchange? I know lots of big groups break into several smaller groups of like 25 state rooms per gift exchange group. Smaller groups sometimes help with the stress of gifts, the cost of money spent on gifts, less packing space, and less delivery time of gifts while on board. Just my two cents, but am sure either way it will be great. I would love to join you guys :) The only thing I can think of- involving 100 is possibly magnets. The below thread has some ideas if you have not seen it before as well? It is a lot to look through, but several great ideas. Have a WONDERful cruise : )

I was going to recommend your mini "M" albums, but 100 of them? that would be waaayy to much work.:scared1:

This is what I ended up with for one set of gifts.

I added the itinerary to the back, along with the line down the middle, so it can actually be a postcard that can be postmarked at Castaway Cay.

I did a business card size magnet with the same image (but no words).

At this point, I don't have enough of the magnets, but I'm sure I'll get another email for freebies before we leave.

I also made some business cards with the same image to put in with the gifts (Enjoy Your Cruise! with our names), with a tip chart on the back. I'm going to have LOTS of those leftover ;)

Still thinking about my bookmarks...

I got my FE today! And, my goodies from Vista Print. I'm so impressed with how they came out!

Love your FE! Looks like it was made by the same woman who did mine. I forget her name, but she's a DISer and she's on ebay. I love ours, and it always makes me so happy to hang it! :goodvibes

I am at a loss, what is FE?

See the photo? That's what it "is". What it's FOR is to put gifties in on the cruise. And why it's called FE is - short for Fish Extender - because there is a fish outside the stateroom door on which Disney leaves messages etc, and the FE EXTENDS the fish so more people (on your cruise thread) can leave you stuff! And WHY? Because its FUN!

Grady'sMommy? Her first name is Tiffany. It's very impractical, not something I'll get to use on anything but a Halloween cruise, but who cares? I have more than enough fabric leftover (and just enough sewing skill) to make Morgan a trick or treat bag, she embroidered her name on a square of it for me ;)

Aahhh! That sounds like a lot of fun. We have never done a cruise so I had no idea of the fun and festivities that go on. Thanks for filling me in.

Suggestions?

I've created a file in Cricut Design Studio. It's a Mickey Ghost.

I was thinking of cutting it out in white and then cutting shoes out in yellow to place on top. But, do you think I should cut the ears out of black too?

I like the idea of black ears....that would make him look more like he pulled his "sheet" over his head!! ;)

Definitely yellow shoes, and black legs and tail. But my feeling is - I'd skip the black ears - they're under the sheet.

LOL, two different suggestions...I'll play with it both ways and see what I like.

I've got to figure out how to play in CDS so I can get it to cut in a couple different colors or just cut what I want in different colors :)

Hey Linda-
OT, but just wanted to let you know I still use the paper holder you gave out for our FE. It was the best! I used it during the cruise to collect the stuff. And now afterward, I use it for paper or projects. Thank you!
