MY DH is awesome!

At home depot Sunday he bought me these 4 yellow trays that stack in an cleaned out mud bucket. They are divided into threes and made an awesome - PORTABLE - storage space for scrapping stuff - I FIt a TON of stuff in it!
THen today at Walmart - I saw - and bought - a BRIGHT PINK bucket (I was going to cover the other with material so now I have no work to do!)
Talk about unconventional - but PERFECT!

I saw those stackable things at Home Depot the other day and wondered if those were what you were talking about. Thanks for posting the pictures!!

great Idea! I have been keeping my eye opened for storage ideas. My husband is building me a scrap room should be ready in July I can't wait. I also got one of those old metal pst office sorters Lots of cubbys.

My darling hubby bought me a Zag Mobile Work Center last night at Wal-mart. $24.97 and it has 2 'tool' box sections...the top has two covered wells on the lids (I put my pens and x-acto knives in them), a removable tray for tools, a deep box. The top unsnaps and the bottom is just a large box--my 12x12 paper fits...along with my envelope of stickers...it's so cool! On wheels. I love it. And so much cheaper than the other rolling storage things I've seen.

Here's a link if you are interested.

OH! And the little yellow 'stripe' in the middle is actually a lazy susan with small trays...I put my eyelets, etc in there.

Beansmom - Where in Walmart did you find this compartment case on wheels? I love it.. . and must get one.

Thanks,
Laura

It's actually back in the Hardware section...I think it's really supposed to be a tool box but I do love it. It hold my paper, tools, little toys and my xyron!

I'm wheeling it to work tomorrow and probably out to my sis's wedding...gosh! I am starting to sound obsessed. I just want my paper nearby...after all, the house could burn down while I'm gone!

beansmom - I have that zag, it's brilliant isn't it! Just make sure the top is closed properly before you open the toolbox.... I have a habit of flipping it open and the pens just fly everywhere!

I sent a pic of the Zag to DH. He thought it was a joke, not a hint. Where else are you going to get so much space for so little $$??

I might have to ask for a Wal-Mart gift certificate for my birthday!!

I love mine! I drug it up to work today and converted a couple of co-workers---they're going to get one, too!

AND it will be great to drag my sis's wedding! (my hubby seems to think I should leave it home...HA! My niece has prom pictures to scrap!)

I love the look of that zag box. Looks like it has better storage than the rolling bag I bought just for scrappn' stuff. The bucket is a great idea as well. I'm getting ready to be mobile, DS is taking a course that he needs a workspace for - and it looks like my scrapping area will have to it :(
Back to the kitchen table for awhile:)

WOW
I LOVE that!
Guess where I am going tomorrow...
I was just about to buy the CIS XXL online for $90 and I already have the JR.

I watch WAY to much HGTV and was just thinking that if I ever get my own scrapping room I want to make it look like a garage! I want tool boxes! watch out hubby - well be fighting over who gets the new Craftsman! :)
THANK YOU

Patty, You want your room to look like a garage. I am going to have mine look like a class room. I thought That way I can keep thing out in the open. It is to be share by the whole family We love to do crafts. Moved in this new house 6 yrs ago and there no place to do messy things so this room is a dream come true.

Lisa

That is A VERY cool idea too!
Are you going to use that chalboard paint or magnetic paint -
I want to use that stuff - it looks SOOO cool! But there is no sense doing any remodeling projects here at the moment!

We just have to find a house or land now - we went to look at another one last night - definately not worth the money - but I wanted the space!
3 bedroom. finished basement, 3 season room, inground pool, but a DUMP! WE wouldn't even mind fixing it up - but I AM NOT paying full price for a fixer upper!

WOW - today is MY lucky day!
I go tmy New Mobile Work Center -
thanks for the heads up guys! I love it and I especially love that you can take it apart - so your not digging into it - very cool new toy!
and.....
We Found 7 acres of land!
I sent my deposit - and if all goes well we will be building a new house! YAHOO
I will get my own scraproom!

:)

I have So many plans for my new roo m!!!! Not sure if the room will be large enough to hold them all. I think once I see the walls up I will see the room potential better. I think I am going to start some classes once it finished. I thought that that will help pay for my supplies. I also think it wuold be so fun to teach some classes but that wont be until fall.

I wish I lived near you -
I would be there!
:)
Looking at house plans I will probably have a basement craft room :) The tool shed theme might work! :)

I'm getting jealous reading about everyones craft/scrapbook rooms...I have to wait until the kids are grown and gone for that!...In about 16 years! LOL...
