Dd11 (6th grade) had her first project of the year due today.

I bought the poster board at Michael's with a 40% coupon (over-kill, I know, but we had several coupons that day)

The title letters (5") were cut with the Cricut

The letters were adhered to the poster board with the Xyron 500

Everything else on the poster was trimmed using the paper trimmer.

Everything on the poster was also backed with coordinating cardstock (yes, we used some of the DCWV stacks!)

Pictures were adhered using the ATG - smaller pictures used the Xyron X.

Various markers were used for color.

Dd said that her projects are usually some of the neatest because she has a Mom who scrapbooks. :)

And it's funny because one of her classmates also has "neat" projects because her Mom is a quilter, which is the same as what we do but just with fabric.

Dd has been brought up around all my tools and "stuff" so she knows how to use them and what works with what.

It's always good when things come together for a project...

My Cricut has already been used on one of my son's school projects this year as well. I keep telling my husband that my Cricut and scrap supplies are a necessity. :rotfl:

My son was able to use mine for a few projects last year. My friends daughter was in the same class and they were working on a project together and she told her mom that they needed to work on the project at my house because I had cool tools for projects! I thought it was pretty funny! They were freshmen at the time.

My girls use my stuff for posters and other projects all the time!

I have been asked by work friends to make stuff for school projects. My DD is in 6th grade and we are waiting for the first project of the year. DS is in 4th grade and it doesn't sound like he is going to be having too many projects. I love his teacher.:worship:

My cricut helped out with french homework last year. :)

The paper trimmer is essential for many school projects I've done. The Cricut often comes in handy for titles, as well. Can't wait to use my tools to assemble a timeline tomorrow!
Of course, I have to finish gathering and typing all of the info first. :goodvibes

We use the Cricut at least once a school year for one of Morgan's projects. It comes in handy ;)

I've always regularly used all my scrapbooking supplies and cricut for projects. For student teaching, I used to regularly have friends call to come over and borrow my supplies just because it made their projects so much easier and quicker to complete.
