what is the scrapbooking store in downtown disney like? should I get my disney scrapbooking supplies down there or somewhere else? :confused3

I wasn't that thrilled by it. It's limited to mostly just disney stuff and most of the stuff at the scrapbook store you can find at the parks.

My mom and I were soooo looking forward to the scrapbook store and were both disappointed. They had just as much scrapbooking stuff (same stuff) at the POR gift shop. The scrapbook store was filled with stuff you could buy at almost any store in WDW such as a huge selection of different pens- not special scrapping pens, Disney pens. We went at the end of April so I'm hoping they have improved since then. I found FAR MORE Disney papers and stickers, etc. at my local scrapbook store.

I try to pick up some "park exclusive" things like the castle charms and snaps, the Mickey paper clips and eyelets, and paper kits (HCOE, Christmas, etc). I do tend to check out WoD first, since I get 10% off there w/ my AP. I've been under-impressed w/ the albums there, too.

I like it but as someone else said...you can find the same stuff at the parks. You need to check various gift shops at the parks also. I found a scrapbooking kit at the Figment giftshop in Epcot that I don't think I'd seen anywhere else.

Sadly, I must agree. This was the one store I really saved my $ to shop in and I came out with almost nothing! It was very disappointing and small. I expected so much better. I got most of my good stuff at my local scrapbook stores. The only bright spot I thought was a package made just for "character dining" pages. Other than that, get stuff at the parks' camera center or at home.

I agree, just OK. I bought an album there with a wooden cover and it is just not working with the pages in it (the spacing is off)...the merchandise there is not high-quality scrapbooking stuff, but it is fun to walk through and pick up a few Disney punches or paper.

I found BETTER stuff in the park and the "World of Disney" store in DD. Sorry but this store just didn't trip my trigger.

I have yet to use the papers & most of the stickers I bought there two years ago. They sounded like a good idea at the time, but they really just didn't work with our pictures. The store is okay, but I find nicer stuff here in good ol' Omaha, NE. Do you have an Archivers (spelling?) That store has some really cool stuff, but I like to stick to Creative Memories for most things. They came out with some cute Disney stuff too...

One thing I thought was cute and I bought at the scrapbook store was those Mickey scissors. Much like your pinking shears, but they cut Mickey ears instead of triangles.

I would agree, I was given unlimited spending rights by DH for this store because he loves my scrapbooks. I walked out with 2 packs of stickers and I am disappointed in one of them. I found a ton of stuff at a local scrapbook store and on mousememories.com.

By the way Diz Mommy did I read your signature correct? You have a 11 month old and are 5 months pregnant? Good luck to you, you will have your hands full soon. My guys are pretty close together and it was rough going for a little while, but I really love it. They are the best of friends.

I was really disappointed on my last trip by the Scrapbooking supplies at Disney. The quality is not nearly as good as the stuff you can find at local scrap stores, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc. I really like the Disney line by EK Success and Sandy Lion...the disney stickers all tended to have white borders around them, etc.

My wife only bought the Mickey scissors at the shop-then a Lion King kit marked down to 7.99 at World of Disney.

Then we made the mistake of going to the joann store on 192 when paper was 6 for 1.00. It took awhile to scan 240 sheets individually. They seemed to have a good selection of Disney that is not available in the Lexington, KY area.

Yes you read it correctly. Tyler turned 1 year old our first day at the Disney parks (December 3rd). I waddled around the world, and I can say although I had a blast watching my little man enjoy the atmosphere, I would never go pregnant again. After about the thrid day of sitting on benches waiting for the rest of my group to ride the rides Tyler and I couldn't do, I was bored and ready to come home. Some people say they love being pregnant in Disney, but I'm not one of them! Plus, I was getting funny looks since I'm showing so much already. Like "is she nuts, pregnant with a baby already in toe!?"

Having children this close together was never my plan till I had Tyler and completley and totally fell in love with being his Mommy. I always used to hassle my DSIL about having her girls 18 months apart when I was childless. But now I see how close they are, they are best friends. I'm having another boy (and they will be 16 months apart!) so I'm hoping the relationship will be similar.

Thanks for the heads up on the scrapbook store. Im sure dh will be pleased to hear I probably won't be spending a lot of money in there. Plus my local scrap store has some really awesome Disney things.

Diz-Mommy, both of my sisters have children 15 months apart and they have great relationships (especially the sister that has 2 dds) My oldest two are 23 months apart and they are great together for the most part so having children close is wonderful.

I have yet to use anything I bought there about a year ago (stickers, paper kits and eyelets). It was really frustrating because DH had given me free reign in there also! Now when we go back, I always stop and look, but rarely buy!

Except the scrapbooks. I bought the 2005 album and the Christmas album from last year and were pleased with both of them.
