I know there is another board for this but I have an emergency craft project before me.

I've just read the back of my Elmer's glue and it states that it's not suitable for photos(in my case, photos printed off my inkjet). I have no other glue available but hot glue gun glue. Will that work?

TIA.

NO! Don't do it!! Wal-mart carries "safe" products if you need something quickly, otherwise just wait! Not only is it not acid free, but it would also more than likely damage the paper the picture is on, making it lumpy where the glue is....In general just don't use either of those. I know that's not what you wanted to hear and I'm sorry!! Good luck with your project!

Thanks, Aurora. I had a feeling the heat would be too damaging.

I've just found some rubber cement which does claim it can be used for photos. Let me go back and find out if it's acid free. Not sure how long my little project needs to last so maybe the acid-free issue isn't so big in this case. Anyway...thanks!:)

I was told by my consultant that rubber cement is a big no-no, too. Good luck!
