I'm stumped on what type of papers, stickers, colors, etc to use for pictures of a sunset or sunrise. These pics where taking while on our Disney Cruise last year so there's nothing else in the pics except the sun, clouds and water. LOL

Any help?

I would probably choose a soft paper that has one of the main colors in the sunset swirled with white. I would use chalks to bring out the other colors in the sunset around the photos on mats. If you have room I would make the title with individual letters (a solid color in the sunset photos) that dropped down the page.

sunsets are tough.
I wouldn't us many embellishments or stickers. I would do many mats! Look at the photos and see if there are any more unusual colors in the photo. Not just the typical yellow, red and orange. Some times you get hints of purple. If you do that would be the base color for me. To try and bring out those shades to tone down the orange.
If you look at this weeks paper challange there is a great lay out sketch that would work beautiful for a series of sunsets.

Purple

Start with the deepest purple cardstock you have. Whenever you have mixtures of blues in a photo, purple marries them or makes them pop. Then when you add the oranges and pinks, Purple. Trust me and give it a try. Let me know.

Chessie, gotta love purple! It brings out the best in so many pictures!

Purple is my black. Whenever I am stumped I go straight to purple. It just doesn’t seem to compete with your photos for color, especially if you have so many shades of one color like you do with waters and skies together.

Here's a picture of how I scrapbooked the sunset as we left Costa Maya during our DCL cruise in March 2006.

I used Bazzill cardstock in Yam and to mat my pictures I used Admiral.

what about photo masiac on purple or purply-blue? And I agree with Spinning and wouldn't use many embellishments.

Wow, it came out very nice. Love the title. Makes me wish I were there.

I have lots of sunset layouts but my favorite is on an orange background. I tore a thin black strip along the bottom, put my three photos in a long vertical row and in the white (orange) space to the side put "just another Grand Canyon sunset" in black Quickutz. The layout is simple but eye catching, no embellishment necessary.

Just another thought, I noticed sunset/cloud paper in the clearance papers at Michaels. It was really pretty...I don't have a picture of it, but something like that might be nice and easy too.

i have a really pretty lite orange with a cream background that would look really nice. i just bought it at michaels 2 weeks ago.
