Scrapbook Scrapbook Scrapbook

check out mousememories.com for disney scrapbooking supplies. You can buy paper by the sheet, which I think is a plus. I find I usually don't use everything that comes in a kit. This site has everything that acmoore & jo-ann fabrics has plus a whole lot more. The prices are pretty good, their service is excellent. I have used this site for 3 disney albums -- each album50+ pages and plan to use it again to scrap my December trip.

Last time we were at WDW I got alot of stickers that you can't find anywhere but Disney. They really made my scrapbook extra special!! :sunny:

I never understood why Disney has missed the scrapbooking boat. I think scrapbooking has proved to be more than just a fad, but Disney has still not fulfilled the need of the market. :sad2: I've seen a lot of new products lately but many of the products are geared towards Princesses (hello, I have boys!!) :earsboy: :earsboy:

I already know that I will be disappointed in the store since two of my fellow scrapbookers went to Disney during spring break and told me our local scrapbooking stores had more to pick from than the DTD scrapbooking store. Very disappointing. Of course I'll still visit and leave some money in the store.. :rolleyes1

I liked the option of being able to buy Walt Disney World specific things. You can't find that stuff in local stores. So, remember that. But otherwise, I will never buy another Disney scrapbook from Walt Disney World, EVER! I don't care how cute they are. I don't care how unique they are. I have nothing but trouble when I use them. CM just came out with one that is going to be my album of choice from now on. The best thing I have bought at WDW is the mini Mickey head punch. I've used it so much and not seen it anywhere else. Same for the Mickey eyelets. Not seen those anywhere else either.

I agree woth Madi100 on the albums! Last time I bought the wooden one, which is really pretty, but the pages are stuck to the back cover so they don't lay flat!

We will add a piece of wood, and make some modifications so we can use it, but it still it is not a well thought album! (And I should have checked it in the store before buying it but I liked it so much... so it's my fault as well!)

And it is also difficult to find the refills page protectors since the holes are not placed in a regular position...

I might check out the Creative Memories one!

hey guys! Your title caught my attention since scrapping is a small addiction of mine. Come visit us in the Creative Community towards the bottom of the forums page. We have a community forum, gardening, scrapping, swaps, interior design, arts and crafts and cooking.

Hope to see you there!!

I have a question about scrapbooking...

I LOVE to scrapbook, and I will be going down to WDW in October with my best friend and i heard about the scrapbooking store in downtown disney. We are staying at Saratoga Springs, so getting downtown wont be a problem. My question to all of you is:

I'm expecting the prices of Disney Scrapbooking stuff to be pretty high, can anyone tell me what the prices are like, and what kind of scrapbook stuff i can find down there?

Also, are there any other good scrapbook supplies stores around any of the theme parks?

we only have 3 1/2 days down there, and i dont want to waste anytime.

thanks a bunch in advance!

i used alot of the pages that i bought from disney..... i wish i would of bought more because i cant find them anywhere...... here is a link of my scrapwork....

Here's another vote for Mousememories.com I've used them several times and love their selection, prices and service. Plus if you've got extra cash and feeling a bit pressed for time they'll put your scrapbook together for you! (you do the journaling) Now that's a service!

I wasn't overly impressed with the scrapbook stuff at WDW but as someone else said they do have a few things that say WDW on them that you can't find elsewhere.

And for whoever it was that is going in Dec of 2006 and wanted a dated book, you're in luck. In Dec the dated books and supplies are 50% off! Be sure to look and make sure the sign says it is though becuase I noticed the dated stuff was 50% off at World of Disney, the Emporium, Mouse Gears and FW but didn't see the sign at the scrapbook store or the Contemporary. Not saying it wasn't on sale, just didn't see the sign. So I got it at WoD where I used my AP discount for an additional 10% off.

I too was slightly disappointed with the selection available. I am a scrapbooking fiend! For this trip, I have actually already determined the kinds of pictures I need (with what characters, etc.) based on the scrapbooking supplies I already bought. I bought lots of princess stuff, so I better see some darn princesses! (Hence, me booking CRT despite the astronomical cost, but I did get 20% off and it does come with pictures! ). So yeah. DBF thinks I'm nuts and I think he already dreads the day when it comes to buying scrapbooking stuff. :teeth: But yeah, like a previous poster said (sorry, I don't remember the name!), it is nice that it's all in one spot. :) Just don't get your hopes up too high. Lately, I've found more "cool stuff" in RagShop and AC Moore, because now they have a cool 3D stickers or $5 a pop! :rotfl:

check ebay for items exclusive to the parks. I have never purchased from any of the sellers, just noticed that there is an ebay store. Also, isn't there a person on this site who will shop at Disneyworld for you? I'm not sure if this is right but I think the site is giftsofalifetime.com. Last May I ordered pins with my children's names (like the ones the CMs wear) I left them on their pillows the first night. Lots of people noticed and addressed them by name which was very exciting to them. Also, many autographs were personalized.

luv4Disney, Where was your Incredibles picture taken? I want to make sure I get one like that when we go.

I am sad to say that since the birth of my second child, I have not been able to scrapbook. sniff sniff. I really love it, I just don't have time for it. I did so many books for my son & now that my daughter has come along, nothing! And I'm sure she'll be the one that would really like them when she gets older. On a Dec. '04 trip, I did a Disney scrapbook that used all the letters of the alphabet w/ characters, parks, attractions, etc. & he really loved that. It helped him learn too. So, I vow to do that for my daughter on her 1st Disney trip if it takes me years to complete!! For this, I plan on buying the big 12x12 book at DTD, but probably using all the supplies from local stores. I just like the official looking Disney book w/ the year & characters, etc. I can't find that anywhere else but DTD.
