I am going to my parent's house this weekend for Father's day and I want to bring back all of my scrapbook scissors with me.

Are those kind of scissors allowed on planes???

I'm planning to check my luggage instead of bringing it on the plane as a carry-on item....will that be OK???

I can't find restrictions on Delta's website.

It will be fine in your checked luggage. It would probably be fine also in your carry-on, as long as none of the scissors has a sharp tip. If you do decide to carry them on, put them all in a large ziploc baggie and take it out of your carry-on for the inspection. Otherwise it may send them into a tizzy when they see it on the x-ray machine!! DD brought along a pair of kids blunt tipped scissors to do schoolwork on the plane.... you would have thought there was an Uzi in her backpack, judging by the reactions of the bag inspectors!! She was even asked to remove her shoes (only one in the family who was asked).... she is EIGHT!!...................P

I hate to say this -
but for 3.95 I would just ship them home priority and not give them any extra reason to open you luggage or give you a hard time.

I always travel with a scissor, I always seem to need one. I pack it in my checked luggage along with any razors and nail scissors, and haven't had any problem.

Definitely ok in your checked luggage. The rules say no metal scissors in your carry on, or at least they did last time I checked. To be safe, go on teh airline webstie and they usually have an explanation of what it and what is not allowed.

I fly several times a month always take kids fiskars with me - in my carry on - to clip off my zip ties I put on the luggage (now that we cannot use baggage locks) You are also allowed to take nail clippers if they do not have the attatched pointy nail file like some do. Last Nov I even flew with my bamboo knitting needles.

Here is a helpful site - the official TSA travel site for any questions of other items you might be wondering about.
