Hello everyone!
I went to the Scrapbook Expo in CA yesterday and had a great time. I took three classes and shopped like crazy!
I took- Highlighting with Embellishmnts by Galloping Horse Productions. We made three projects. A large fall tag, a beach border (great for the Disney cruise we took last Nov.), a journal box with a cool metal circle thing, and a Christmas tag. Everything was really nice and lots of product.
The second one was Tagging Along with Deluxe cuts. Katherine Brooks was the instructor and she showed how to make many of the tags in her books. We made a small book of tags, a cooking tag and rec. a ton of extra product including a color blocking card template to make another travel tag and misc. other deluxe cuts too. She also had multiple drawings while we were making our tag books. I won a sheet of cardstock sticker tags. My friend won a pakage of their tags and tag toppers. Others won some of the color blocking books, and the tag book that Katherine would sign for you!
The third class was called Mix It Up and was taught by Marah Johnson. We used alpha wear and bradwear by Creative Imaginations. It was a fun class too. We made a couple of items to add to our books. She definately likes to use staples to attach everything together. We used canvas, cardboard, metal tags, and cardstock.
We had so much fun shopping too. I of course bought a ton of Mickey stuff and was happy to find some more boy type items. My friend has a daughter so she spent more!lol
By the time they closed the expo we were still trying to look at everything. After there was another little sale of one vendor outside that had a couple of items I picked up too! Half price can not be left behind! 8 1/2 x 11 x cardstock was $1.00 per half inch!
We had a great day and I just wanted to let you know if it comes to your area to check it out! You can also look at www.scrapbookexpo.com to see if it is coming near you.
Happy Scrappin'
