Is anyone going? Maybe we could do a meet-up!

I'm thinking about it especially since it's only 20 minutes from my house :thumbsup2 but only one class is even interesting to me. There do seem to be alot of vendors including my favorite store Scrappers Cove, so I'm sure that I'll make a dent on my scrapbooking budget :lmao:

It's Friday, May 20th & Saturday, May 21st.

The classes are up and there's only one that I'm thinking about doing but there seem to be lots of vendors coming, so my wallet will get put to good use :rotfl2:

Where is this? Ill be out of town on sat but would love to look into going on Fri

It's in Somerset - 287 exit 10.

I will probably go on Friday since I really want to go with my DDs :rotfl:

Has anyone been to this before? Is it worth the trip from NYC?

I haven't been in a few years, but am planning on going with a few co-workers on Fri. I usually stock pile up on new papers I haven't seen before and there are usually a few make and takes you can do for a small fee. We've never done any of the classes, but I'll have to look to see what they have this year.

I have gone the past two years. I like the show, although I do not love it like CKC Valley Forge. It is closer to me in northern NJ. If you are fairly close it is a good way to see the new products and trends. All of our nearby LSS have closed, so it is a nice option compared to what you would find at the major retailers.

Why I like the Somerset show...
it is closer
the "dollar store" booths
the coupons that you can print off the website, i.e. CTMH 50% off 1 item
the make and takes

Why I like CKC better
bigger - more vendors
classes seem less expensive and are in one convention center

One hint that I would offer is that the food is expensive and really not that great. I am really not that picky when it comes to food either. I would rather not spend $8 on a couple of icky chicken fingers, when I could buy some paper with that money. So last year I took my daughters and we packed a cooler. There were picnic tables available outside to sit at.

Remember to print off a $2 admission coupon.;)
