I hadn't seen this posted, but the Target near me was selling 8x8 "the perfect scrapbooks" and some 8x8 already completed scrapbooks (the pages were covered in colored paper with some embellishments). The completed ones I saw were "love" and "baby". I know the completed ones were $14.99, but I'm not sure how much the others were. They were on an end cap in the scrapbooking section. princess:

I saw these and they were really cute. I personally wouldn't use one for my own albums, but would perhaps use one to make a quick gift for someone else. As a matter of fact, I may pick up a couple of them to have for that purpose. The pages were nicely done and were fairly heavyweight.

eeyoreforever - I agree. I wouldn't use them for my own albums, but if I were in a pinch to put something together for someone I think these would be a good alternative. They were good quality and I thought they looked nice.

Also, they had some packets of paper and embellishments in the same section. Similar to their fall/Christmas packets they had earlier. I didn't have a lot of time and didn't look too closely, but thought I would pass it along.

I'll have to look again - I haven't made it back out there yet. I didn't see the embellishments. The albums at my Target were on an endcap and I usually cruise up the scrapbooking aisle pretty quickly. I was thinking about making one for my mom and my MIL for Mother's Day. Neither of them needs anything else, so I think this would be nice. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to do it from scratch for them - I can't even keep up with my own.

Thanks again for the info.

Thank you for this thread! I just stopped by Target and bought one of the complete albums for a friend who admires my scrapbooks but doesn't want to make her own. She has been hinting around that she would pay me to make her one, but I don't have the time! This is a wonderful alternative and might get her motivated to try it on her own. The albums are by Colorbok and include 10 pages (20 front and back) with textured cardstock with pretty borders sewn on. I bought the love one and thought she could put her favorite family pictures in it. It also has an opening in the front to add a picture there, too. It was only $14.99 and I don't think I could have bought and made an album for that price.

I looked at the perfect scrapbooks, but restrained myself (I already have 3 empty small scrapbooks). The 8x8 were $9.99 I think and they had 12x12 for $12.99.

I didn't see the 12x12 Perfect Scrapbooks. I will have to make another trip to pick those up. I have several finished pages that are not in a scrapbook because I haven't found one that I liked for a decent price.

Thanks! :cool1:
