Scott & Vicki's Art Deco Wedding and Disneymoon May 29, 2011 *Wedding Day Report!

Hey everyone, one more quick update tonight. I wanted to post pics of our aisle runner, we made it months ago I just forgot to post it. DF really got into this with me :) Scott's first name is technically Daniel so that's why that name is on the runner, his middle name is Scott:thumbsup2

I can't wait to start getting the RSVP's!

Our Guestbook came today! I ordered it on shutterfly and we added some quotes to it from our favorite movies. I got a coupon for a free 12X12 Photobook from David's Bridal when I bought my dress, the catch was I had to use it by April which is before are wedding so I decided why not make a guestbook! It's about 20 pages and all I had to pay for was shipping pretty awesome deal:thumbsup2

And kudos to you for using a Casablanca quote. My favorite :lovestruc

Vicki, everything looks amazing! Your bouquet turned out so well, and I love how you 'personalized' your aisle runner.

Great updates! Everything looks amazing, and I am sure that those pictures could help some future brides design their own aisle runner!!

I love your aisle runner!!! What type of runner did you use? What software did you use? What size font? Sorry for all the questions but I would like to do the same thing. How wide is the aisle runner?

Eek! Looove your updates girlie! The invitations are gorgeous! Wouldn't mind a closer up of the actual invite? Can't tell in the picture. I can't wait to start mine. But I have LOADS of time before that's needed. It'll be our project for snowy days next winter, haha.

I LOVE your aisle runner! I'm kinda bummed that they don't recommend doing an aisle runner at my venue? We're on the beach and she said it blows away a lot and people end up tripping all over it.

LOOOOOVE it all girl!:thumbsup2
:dancer:

I love the aisle runner! I showed it to DF and he loved it too. He was interested in making one for us, but our church actually has two aisles so it would be double the work and double the money. And the church has very nice carpet anyway, it just would have been fun :)

I am loving the isle runner... and I like the fact that you have done it yourselves! :) Very clever!

Hope to hear more from you soon!

I second the request for invitation close-up pictures, and I also humbly request an aisle runner tutorial for those of us who are creatively-challenged. :goodvibes

Oh and sorry I forgot to post pictures of the close ups of my invites. I did it on another post in the thread and didn't think to do it again :rotfl: Anywho once I get home I will update the post with my invites with close up pics. Sorry again and thanks for all the love ladies:love:

YAY, thank you! :worship:

So impressed with all your DF is doing to help with the DIY projects. I'm pretty sure that all my husband did was show up to the wedding. Of course he lived in Arizona at the time, I lived in Virginia and we were married in Texas. His mom helped out a TON...thank goodness.

So as promised I have added pictures of close ups of my invitations to the post I posted yesterday so check em out:thumbsup2, but the boards only let me post 25 pics at a time, so I am posting what I posted yesterday about our guestbook here in this post, Thanks, let me know what you think :)

Thanks!!!! That sucks that you guys can't have one there, I posted close ups to yesterdays thread for ya, thanks again for the compliments hun :)

Yeah, it would look great in your church :thumbsup2, if don't mind the work you might want to attempt it, it wasn't very expensive. I got the runner from Micheal's for $15 with a coupon and the paint is $1 each color, I think the whole thing ended up being about $20 not bad considering people are trying to sell them on esty.com for around $100, lol I think the whole thing took about 6 to 8 hours to make, but we broke that up over the course of a week, we even made one for my mom who got remarried, and depending on how intricate the design is it would take even less time.

I actually wanted to do everything myself, because I am a control freak, but DF looked at me like I was insane and said you are not doing this by yourself you need some help and it looks like fun!!! He really got into it and designed everything along side me
