Vicky, I just noticed you guys are also Illinoisians like me and my DF! Where are you guys from? We're from the Southwestern Burbs, The Orland Park/Hickory Hills area. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in '07. I know a bunch of people who went to U or I Champaine. My future BIL is one of them. Now back to reading your PJ, I really excited to see all your DIY projects. I'm also quite crafty myself and plan on doing a lot of DIY projects for my wedding as well.

OMG! First we have similar stories now we are both Illinoisans!!! My friend goes to Columbia and my undergrad was U of I Champaign! We are in the central Illinois area. Yeah it's nice to know someone on here who's close I dont see many Illinois brides . Yeah to another DIY bride! It's a great way to save money and get exactly what you want. Thanks for all the compliments I am loving your plans so far as well it will be nice to see your ideas progress. I can't wait to see some of your DIY projects

Alright ya'll so a bunch of little updates today!

Let's start with my makeup situation. I don't think I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I had a lot of issues finding a makeup artist in my town, they are few and far between. I originally found one who helped me at Bergner's one day when I picked out some makeup during their community sale, but he turned out to be booked. Then I had a makeup trial last weekend with someone I thought would be a good fit for me, but I left the appointment a little disatified to say the least, but I went ahead and chose her anyway though I was desperate. Well today I went back to Bergner's to get some makeup to use for the big day, (long story short the lady I choose doesn't have too many darker skin friendly products ) so I went in and I ran into the guy I was going to originally have do my makeup and it turns out that his schedule just opened up so he got me in ! We had a little makeup trial there and I left so excited I love this guy he is so good at what he does I know the makeup will look perfect Here is a pic I took after the trial, my crappy little iphone didn't do it justice Keep in mind I still have to add some false eye lashes and a bit more foundation, but you get the picture.

We shall see the finished product on the big day!

The ring problem!!!!!

So DF went to purchase my wedding band today online and they went out of stock!!!! I have been looking at this ring for a year so I had a super panic moment slash mini breakdown to say the least We went scouring all of the jewelry stores today with to no avail, until I found this nice lady at JCPenneys, who's name was ironically Vicki , and we found something! I will post the pics with my E-ring after it's sized in a few weeks

Sweetheart table letters and Bridal Party Tables

My sweetheart table letters came in this week so I put together a mock up of our place settings

I also finished the final mockup of the bridal party centerpieces

I also finished bedazzling the letters that are going on our cake table here is the inspiration

Ok most of your know that I had originally designed a pair of shoes on zazzle to wear during the reception, well that went bust due to copyright issues, long story , I went and got these baby's

I love them! And they match the boys shoes. I shall make Kristilynn proud!!

I booked...........A ILLUMINATIONS CRUISE!!!!!! I am so excited, I can't believe I got one, I could have sworn they would have been completely booked, but I got in! Also I found out today that scheduling hasn't even begun yet for the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party during the week that I will be down there so I still could get in as long as they extend it!

Your makeup looks gorgeous girlie! I wish I woulda known you were looking for one! My uncle lives up in North Jersey and I could have talked to him for you! He does fantastic makeup! He's a drag queen and he's fantabulous. ha. He's going to do mine and the bridal party the day of my wedding. Woo!

Hey don't feel bad about never having worn them, I hadn't either until my first trial last week, they look really good and after a few minutes you can't tell there is something sticking to your eye lid Thanks for the compliments and when we all come down here we will have to rent out a cruise together with our DFs!

I know right I love how comfy there are, I swear boys have it so easy You can get the Aqua gems at Joann's there are super cheap and they make alot. The cruise info is here http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/fireworks.htm The one we got is $346.13, so not too bad since we aren't doing any more excursions really and it's an actual cruise so don't just sit on the water for a few minutes during the show, they take you around and tell you tid bits about the "world" As far as the dessert party I don't know what the price is right now, all they told me what that the calender wasn't up yet for them to book, but disney's website it says between $15 and $36 I guess that depends on the season and if you are an adult or child, I heard on the boards its around $25 When I find out something I will let you know

I got these on ebay about a month ago, but right now it looks like they only have the disneyland ones, so I would keep checking

Another update today, I have to make this quick because the Oscars start at 7:30 I just put in the order for the last of the groomsmen gifts today so here is a list of what their getting and the stock photo of what we ordered.

I posted these earlier, but all the groomsmen will get a pair in their gift bag for the "sock pic"

Each get a pair of traditional cufflinks, but these are not the ones they will wear for the day...

...they will be wearing different sets of these!

We have ordered these in 5 different games across 4 different consoles. The boys will love them.

Here are shoes the boys will wear they just came in this week

We have purchased some props to help go with our theme for the big day. The groomsmen are doubling as ushers for the day so we bought each of them a pair of white gloves and a mini flashlight, now they are real movie "ushers." They are just for them to wear while they are seating guests and handing out programs, once that's done they can go back to their traditional roles

We bought the bridesmaids and groomsmen each a set of sunglasses for the entrance to the reception hall pictures.

We won't be wearing them like this couple, but you get the picture

We actually got them in store, but they did sell them online too at one point. I bought them about 3 months ago. I just checked online at express.com and it doesn't look like they have them now, but keep checking they often come back
